Saptagram is a village and a gram panchayat in Chinsurah Mogra CD Block in Chinsurah subdivision of Hooghly district in the state of West Bengal, India.
In ancient times, there was a flourishing port town at Saptagram.[1] The Saraswati River started drying up from the 17th century and ships, which navigated up the river, could no longer do so.[2] By the early twentieth century, the place had dwindled to a group of insignificant huts.[3]
