Leagu phase table

Newcastle's goal-difference is 5–2, not 4–2. Hegelaci (talk) 21:28, 1 October 2025 (UTC)

Matchday 2 table

Edit request: keep long team names on one line

Keep “Borussia Dortmund” and “Paris Saint-Germain” in matchday 2 table on one line, align flags, and normalize row height. No content change. Without it, it looks weird and ugly. The edit will make the matchday tables symmetrical and good looking on the eye.

I tried to fix it myself. But every time it either didn't do anything or made another fixture broken. Clearly i am not able to fix it by myself. Pls help 2A10:8012:1:82BF:BDE8:707A:E8F3:6330 (talk) 02:44, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
Pls help. I can't do it on my own 2A0D:6FC7:703:EC93:4844:157E:D2F8:278B (talk) 13:36, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
Can you explain what is going wrong? Slomo666 (talk) 15:51, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
It either doesn't do anything or another fixture gets broken instead 2A0D:6FC7:703:EC93:CC72:963:6163:CC29 (talk) 21:18, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
I don't see any edits by you in the page history. Is it possible you did not click publish? If you're still having problems I don't mind doing it for you, but I ask that you make clear diffs so I know what you want.
You can do this with {{text diff}}

. All i want is that matchday 2 table will be good looking like matchday 1 table. What i mean is I want every fixture on one line. Currently only the Barcelona vs PSG game is more than 1 line.
I didn't publish my edits. Because I checked the edits at "SHOW PREVIEW" and it either didn't change nothing, broke the whole table or made a different fixture more than 1 line. For example: Dortmund vs Bilbao. So there was no point publishing the edits 2A0D:6FC7:703:EC93:CC72:963:6163:CC29 (talk) 21:44, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
I am sorry but this sounds a bit too complicated for an edit request. You could try Wikipedia:Teahouse to ask for advice on how to do this, but please do not use the edit request template unless you have a clear X to Y edit request. You can also place a message on this talk page describing what you think needs to change and why. That way you could convince an editor who is already working on this article to help you. I am sorry I could not help you. Slomo666 (talk) 22:00, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
I am not trying to be rude or disrespectful and i appreciate you even responding. But how is my request complicated to understand? in the Matchday 2 table there is one match that is different from the others, that is Barcelona vs PSG, Why? Because the name of PSG is too long so its 2 lines. It affects the whole line and makes it bigger. All i want is that this match will be in 1 line like all the other matches so it will look nicer on the eye 2A10:8012:1:82BF:9C6:5F7B:968D:C763 (talk) 07:24, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
Good idea 2A10:8012:1:82BF:9C6:5F7B:968D:C763, but I would recommend you do this in source code mode rather than using VisualEditor. Theeverywhereperson (talk here) 08:22, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
Ok I think I understand what you mean now and also what the problem is.
I am going to repeat it back to you just to check I got it. In 2025–26 UEFA Champions League league phase#Matchday 2 you are seeing, specifically with the match between Barcelona and PSG, the team name of PSG be split, making this line thicker (vertically larger/wider), correct?
Because I do not see that. I think I understand why. Are you using the mobile (web)app? (I am reading it on my browser)
If this is an issue between mobile and desktop version, I am not sure what is causing that, or how to fix that, but we could ask someone more technical.
Maybe I do not understand it correctly, because when I try to check on my own mobile device, I see this issue in the matchday 1 table as well, and also for other teams such as Atlético Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen. Slomo666 (talk) 14:30, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
Yes, you understood it correctly, I use the desktop and not mobile so i didn't encounter the issue of the other games. The issue that specifically bothers me is the Barcelona vs PSG issue. I would be grateful to the one who will manage to fix it. Because on my own i wasn't able to do it. 2A10:8012:1:82BF:9C6:5F7B:968D:C763 (talk) 18:44, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
I could be able to give you some advice, but I am very bad at getting around on sports tables in source code mode. I can't carry this out for you, but I would be very happy to do so if I could. Theeverywhereperson (talk here) 07:24, 19 October 2025 (UTC)

They can already, @AlphaBetaGamma, but as said and mentioned previously in the discussion, if they try to change things they end up breaking something. Theeverywhereperson (talk here) 10:39, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
Have you tried asking at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football? AlphaBetaGamma (Talk/report any mistakes here) 12:55, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
Because of the confusing nature of this request, and the fact that I see no formatting problems here whatsoever, I'm shutting down this request. I do know that some templates appear ugly on mobile view, but there's no fixing that AFAIK. AlphaBetaGamma (Talk/report any mistakes here) 14:30, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
Its not on mobile, Its ugly on Desktop 2A0D:6FC7:704:9D18:CD70:25FB:524D:E0EC (talk) 21:08, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
This is confusing to me, as I also used desktop when looking at your requests, and the tables looked fine to me.
Anyways, please STOP opening the edit request. We clearly don’t know how to help you and setting the request to unanswered just wastes’ people’s time. I am sorry if this is rude, but I think you’ve been told this a few times now. You can ask help at the places that have been suggested, but please leave the edit request template as answered.Slomo666 (talk) 21:27, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
Something that may fix it. If i change from "Paris saint-germain" to "Paris SG" or "PSG". Am i allowed to do it? 2A0D:6FC7:625:236F:64B3:A1D3:4947:9DF (talk) 10:09, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
As far as I understand it, MOS:ACRO allows abbreviations as long as somewhere higher up in the article, the abbreviation is shown next to the full name, and the abbreviation is common/already used. (Wikipedia does not invent abbreviations, but can use them if sources do, I think)

Fix Club Brugge scorer in MD4

The scorer of Club Brugge's first goal in MD4 was Niccolo Tresoldi (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicol%C3%B2_Tresoldi), not Ruan Tressoldi (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruan_Tressoldi) ~2025-31898-23 (talk) 11:54, 7 November 2025 (UTC)

Fix Liverpool vs PSV and Kairat vs Olympiacos

In the Liverpool vs PSV match. The score is incorrect. In the Kairat vs Olympiacos match. The game played in Astana instead of Almaty so there should be a [note], because thats not Kairat's regular ground DavidG3773 (talk) 14:39, 9 December 2025 (UTC)

Tiebreakers

The last point in tiebreakers criteria is UEFA club coefficient. What does it mean? Current season coefficient, last year coefficient or last 5 years coefficient (the same used for League phase draw pots)?

Do you know any reliable source?

https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/standings/ for example uses last year coefficient. But in UEFA regulations - Annex D - there is no reference to that, only 5 years coefficient (for seeding purposes) or 10 years coefficient (for revenue distribution purposes only). FRacco (talk) 22:08, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

UEFA official site updated tables. Now it uses last 5 years coefficient: 2020/21 - 2024/25 (the same used for League phase draw pots). It seems more correct! FRacco (talk) 17:28, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
