http://personalwebs.myriad.net/steveb/egypt/1st.jpg lists a very different cartouche for Anedjib than the one in the image here... which one is correct, or are both correct? --Damate
This article lists Anedjib as the fifth Pharaoh of the First Dynasty, while the article on his father Den lists Den as the fifth. Similarly the articles on Djer and Djet list them both as the third Pharaoh of the First Dynasty. The differences probably go back to the controversy over whether Menes and Hor-Aha were the same person.--Syd Henderson 03:25, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Anedjib → Adjib – Within this article, Anedjib is referred to only as Adjib, with the exception of the first paragraph and the gallery, the former of which claims that the more correct version of his name is Adjib. Additionally, the royal titulary section has his name listed as ˁḏ-jb (Adj-jb) with no "n" in sight. The name of the article should match the name used within the article. - Can someone more familiar with this topic/these types of sources please confirm or deny that Adjib is more correct or should be used throughout the article? I’m concerned that this may have resulted from editor bias Audrey Woolf (talk) 10:16, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- whichever spelling is more commonly used in Egyptological literature should be used regardless of how authentic it is to the original pronunciation. PharaohCrab speak𓀁 works𓀨 17:07, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
