I rewrote the introduction to increase clarity and further stress the political angle on both left and right, but going through the rest of the article it's way too detailed about information that is best left to dedicated wikipedia pages or source materials (e.g. list of hate groups, incidents per state, list of violent incidents) while giving no decent overview of the subject, and no contemporary discussion. I would read an article like Antisemitism in America to find out what's happening in America *now*, and then want to read the history of it for, say, the last quarter century in that order — not vice versa. As is, by virtue of placement if nothing else, it seems to stress African American antisemitism while spending no time on current issues with the political right, which are far more threatening to the average Jewish person, especially considering, to give just one example, the use of Nazi iconography in U.S. government agencies. (e.g. https://www.splcenter.org/resources/hatewatch/dhs-white-nationalist-anti-immigrant-social-media/)
Or maybe what we really need is a dedicated page for contemporary antisemitism in the U.S., like this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisemitism_in_contemporary_Hungary EditGirl99 (talk) 03:02, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
- "the use of Nazi iconography in U.S. government agencies." With a neofascist political party in power, that should be expected. Dimadick (talk) 13:19, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Why did you capitalise antisemitism throughout the article? That's not how we normally render it on WP is it? BobFromBrockley (talk) 17:36, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- I only really touched the text in the intro., and that's what I was concentrating on. If "antisemitism"is capitalized there, or anyplace else, it is left over from another writer. EditGirl99 (talk) 15:32, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- Lead is better now, thank you! I think the article is very recentist and lacks historical depth, so am very sympathetic to creation of a separate articles for the contemporary period. BobFromBrockley (talk) 09:42, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you. I'm not sure if I have the energy to start one, but if you do, I am happy to contribute. :) EditGirl99 (talk) 00:58, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
