A note, as checking the "History of Zionism" article size as it presently stands, it is >13,000 words, and the transfer will only make it larger. So, I was wondering if you had any ideas on how to potentially split the article in time periods? Such as a "History of Zionism (pre-1949)" and "History of Zionism (post-1949)", though I have a feeling splitting into 3 articles would be the minimum necessary. -- Cdjp1 (talk) 16:38, 23 June 2026 (UTC)

Israeli independence does seem to be the obvious watershed. perhaps either the first Zionist congress would be another.

Thanks for the diligence Smasongarrison. I don’t understand why you think it’s not a relevant category. Do you object to them being categorised as Zionists? (in which case why not remove the higher level category “Zionists”?) or do you not see Muslims as religious? Or is there a problem with the religious Zionist category as such? (Which I believe also includes Christian Zionists, who you don’t seem to have a problem being so categorised?) Please specify the issue rather than schooling me in this vague way. Thank you. I didn't say that the topics are related. I said that I think you are overcategorizing. The category is "Category:Muslim supporters of Israel" it isn't Muslim zionists. All of your examples are about higher level categories, not this specific intersection. I think that a higher level category would make more sense. (Also, I don't think your argument for other stuff exists or that other categories I didn't see have the parent category in question.) ^SMason_Garrison 15:42, 5 September 2026 (UTC)

I still don’t understand. I wasn’t making an other stuff editors argument; I think the categorisation tree should be logical and this category functions in that tree the same way as the Christian Zionist and Jewish Zionist categories do.
