Battle of Majorca → Battle of Mallorca – I'm requesting that this article be moved to "Battle of Mallorca", abandoning the outdated Anglicisation of "Majorca" in favour of the original Catalan and Spanish spelling of "Mallorca". Per Google Ngrams results, "Mallorca" has been predominantly used in English language sources since 1978, a movement you can see in sources about the civil war itself, as newer ones are more likely to use "Mallorca". Aside from longer books about the war as a whole, I have found one journal article about the battle itself, which uses "Mallorca". The main article about the island was moved in 2018 and subsequent discussion to revert the move in 2021 decided against moving it back, so moving this article would also contribute to improved consistency in article titles.
As this is a potentially controversial move, I'm opening it up to discussion. Grnrchst (talk) 14:03, 19 February 2026 (UTC) — Relisting. veko. (user | talk | contribs) [he/him] 14:32, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
