Language
Much of the language of this article seems stilted and out-of-time, as if written in 1900. "Don the white ribbon", for example, means little or nothing to today's audiences. Does "leaving the classrooms behind her" mean she dropped out of school? The heavy reliance on the passive voice is also not all that helpful in an encyclopedia. Should the language be modernized? --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 16:41, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
