Hi. I have a few requests for the "Subsidiaries and funds" section, as follows:
- Please add a short sentence to the "Funds" sub-section, directly above the list of funds, as follows:
- Citadel's multi-strategy, multi-manager investment fund structure consists of semi-autonomous teams managing their own portfolios, each dedicated to specific market sectors.[1]
- Please add a short description to each of the funds listed, as follows:
- Wellington Fund: founded in 1990 when Citadel began operations; Citadel's flagship multi-strategy hedge fund.[2]
- Citadel Global Equities: created in 2001, a market-neutral strategy equities fund.[3]
- Tactical Trading: began in 2007, expanded in 2009-2010 to include statistical arbitrage and market neutral equity strategies.[4]
- Fixed income and macro: founded in 1999, macro and interest rate-focused fund. [5][6]
- The "Former companies" subsection is outdated and not relevant to this section. Please consider removing it from the article or moving it within the History section.
- Please change the name of the section to "Funds" once the “Former companies” have been moved.
Thanks so much for your consideration. Cduffymul (talk) 13:57, 11 August 2025 (UTC)
Partly done: Taking this request by request:
- Too promotional.
Not done
Done.
Not done. The information in the section is good for someone who would like to know some of the history. Does Citadel have any current subsidiaries?
Let me know if there are any concerns with the changes made. Meepmeepyeet (talk) 21:25, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for your edits Meepmeepyeet. I wonder if I could suggest a less promotional version of that first short sentence as an intro to the description of the funds. How about something like this:
- Citadel's investment fund structure consists of semi-autonomous teams that manage their own portfolios, each for a specific market sector.
- Also, since Citadel does not have subsidiaries, perhaps the name of the section should be "Funds and former companies", which is more accurate. Thanks again. Cduffymul (talk) 15:42, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
- This third and fourth bullet are reasonable. Will put this into the bottom of the 2011-2020 section, if you will confirm. @Cduffymul Yachtahead (talk) 01:09, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Yachtahead. I do confirm that you should move the "Former companies" into the History section, 2011-2020, remove the "Subsidiaries and funds" heading, and change "Funds" to a "first level" section. I wonder if you could also add as a short introduction to the "Funds" section the following brief sentence:
- Citadel's investment fund structure consists of semi-autonomous teams that manage their own portfolios, each for a specific market sector.
- Perhaps if you have time and are interested, you could also have a look at an additional edit request now being discussed at a related page, at Talk:Kenneth C. Griffin#Edits to Career section. Thanks so much. Cduffymul (talk) 13:41, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Cduffymul moved the funds and changed Funds to sub-head, as it is not appropriate for a heading. Would need a source to address the sentence requested above. Will look at the other page, thanks Yachtahead (talk) 00:20, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks Yachtahead for implementing the edit request above. I have included below two sources for the following sentence, which should be posted as an introduction to the "Funds" sub-section.
- Citadel's investment fund structure consists of semi-autonomous teams that manage their own portfolios, each for a specific market sector.[1][2]

- @Cduffymul added the funds sentence intro as you shared (minor language tweak) and with the strongest source. Thanks- Yachtahead (talk) 01:13, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks again Yachtahead. Your help is appreciated. Cduffymul (talk) 15:43, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
