Name or nickname?

The claim has been made based upon a contradictory source that Bubba is his legal name. Anyone have any documentation one way or the other?Daniel the Monk (talk)

In Alabama, we all have a Bubba in our family—brother, cousin etc. In my 48 years experience, it’s never their legal name. F. L. (talk) 02:17, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

Darrell Wallace, Jr. according to the NYT. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/13/sports/bubba-wallace-nascar-confederate-flag.html F. L. (talk) 02:19, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

On “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (ABC) on 7/7/2020, Bubba said his sister started the calling him Bubba, perhaps because she couldn’t pronounce “brother.” This page is locked for editing, and the word spacing is seriously flawed. Somebody please fix it, or unlock it so we can help!  Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:101:8200:DC60:ADA1:89D3:F029:3056 (talk) 04:10, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Add a note in the "Noose investigation" section mentioning that Richard Petty visited the track to support Wallace on June 22 during the march of solidarity down the pit lane, his first visit to a race in 3 months, saying "most important thing for me right now is hugging my driver."  Not done: Not exactly relevant to this person's biography. See WP:COATRACK. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 21:25, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

During the caution, Wallace engaged in a shoving match with Larson

Video shows Wallace doing all the shoving or pushing.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 3f3awrdiafig (talkcontribs) 04:00, 19 October 2022 (UTC)

Why is race included as an achievement?

Perhaps base achievements on actual achievements, racial achievements are not achievements 2603:6010:6CF0:8F0:25E7:E85F:5ECB:BDA6 (talk) 22:02, 24 February 2023 (UTC)

Trump

Wikipedia:Not every single thing Donald Trump does deserves an article Also, not every single thing Donald Trump does deserves coverage in an article.

I deleted a paragraph about Trump tweeting about the noose situation, since Trump tweets (or "truths") about just about anything and its meaningless to consider five days later, let alone five years later. I was reverted because its "relevant", which, well yeah he tweeted about the noose story, but so what? Can we cut this paragraph from the article?  Muboshgu (talk) 23:04, 25 May 2025 (UTC)

The whole section could do with some more trimming; we don't need to give as much WEIGHT as we currently are seeing as this whole thing has not gotten any WP:SUSTAINED coverage in reliable sources. Does it even need its own section? "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (hihi) 23:16, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
Well, we can start by trimming the unnecessary Trump tweet. The Bushranger, care to comment?  Muboshgu (talk) 14:43, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
Not everything Trump says deserves an article or inclusion. But not everything Trump does doesn't deserve an article or inclusion. Since the incident is commented about here (and yes, it deserves its own section, as it was a really big deal at the time and that's not temporary) the fact it drew Presidental attention, for good or for ill, should be mentioned. - The Bushranger One ping only 22:52, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
