Hello,
I am David Okeke, the subject of this article, and I am submitting this request while disclosing my conflict of interest.
I respectfully request revision of the section concerning the November 2023 on-court medical incident.
While I understand the event has been covered by reliable sources and may be considered relevant for mention, I believe the current wording and level of detail place disproportionate emphasis on a sensitive personal medical matter compared to the rest of the article and give undue weight to a private health-related incident over my professional basketball career.
Additionally, I believe the current placement of this content within the “Career” section is inappropriate, as the incident was not a career milestone, athletic achievement, or basketball accomplishment, but rather a personal medical event.
I respectfully propose replacing the current detailed wording with the following more neutral and proportionate summary:
“In November 2023, Okeke temporarily stepped away from competition following a health-related incident during a game before later returning to professional play.”
This wording maintains factual accuracy while reducing unnecessary medical detail and presenting the matter in a more balanced and neutral way consistent with Wikipedia’s standards for biographies of living persons.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
