Overall, I enjoyed reading the article about a remote and relatively untouched natural beauty. The article is pretty close to GA status, but it needs a little bit to smooth some edges, which can be easily fixed. My comments are listed below. A.Cython(talk) 22:56, 11 February 2026 (UTC)

Various

  • No edit wars
  • Figures are ok along with appropriate figure captions
  • Earwig's Copyvio Detector highest result was 28.6%, mainly in the use of names, so all ok
  • Neutral

Prose

  • both lived in the region, and hunted does not appear to need the comma
    • Fixed.-G
  • it lies in a valley which descends change to "it lies in a valley that descends}}
    • Fixed.-G
  • of the fans, lessening to about replace "lessening" with decreasing
    • Fixed.-G
  • is lower than its east. something missing here, do you mean "east bank"?
    • Fixed.-G
  • Alaska Range also lie within lies?
    • Fixed.-G
  • The upper portions of the basin, between the Alaska Range and the Amphitheater Mountains, contains large amounts contains → contain
    • Fixed.-G
  • The soils of the Delta River basin consists of consists → consist
    • Fixed.-G
  • agricultural developments were begun around Delta Junction "were begun" → began
    • Fixed.-G
  • which across the river. runs across
    • Fixed.-G
  • Recreational boating is also popular along the river and the Tangle Lakes, finish the sentence with "." and a citation (which also supports the quote "one of the few easily accessible wild and scenic rivers in Alaska"), please.
    • Fixed.-G

Sources

  • Note that Stout (1973) and Reger (2002) references are not used in the main text, so perhaps you want to move them into "Further reading" section?
  • Checked citations 1, 3, 16, 20, 24, 30 and these are ok. Some were not ok, see below.

Issues

  • much of the land is managed by the Alaska Department of Natural Resources How exactly reference 15 based on the online pdf that I found supports the particular statement, maybe I am blind. I think you meant p. 1, unless you are referring to a different pdf.
    • Fixed.-G
  • citation 27 it states "sheep" at p.21 while you mention in the text "dall sheep". It is on page 19 where "dall sheep" is mentioned. Note the same thing happens with citation 26.
    • Well, we only need one of the citations to mention "dall sheep", so I changed Higgs to include p. 19 -G

Final comments

Thank for making the changes so quickly. Congratulations in bringing one more article to GA status! A.Cython(talk) 00:45, 12 February 2026 (UTC)

Overall: Article is new enough and long enough. Image is free, from the Bureau of Land Management's Flickr. Hook fact is cited and confirmed, though stated in more academic language than the hook. The copyvio detector detects too much similarity with spotcamera.com, but that website just screams "Mirror", so no issues. Good to go!   Chris Woodrich (talk) 02:37, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
