Launchballer is currently experiencing mental health issues, which may affect their Wikipedia editing in various ways. They may have:

altered perception when making editorial judgements, determining consensus, or reading Wikipedia discussions addressed to them;
reduced availability on Wikipedia during times when they experience issues;
limited capacity to respond to other Wikipedians via talk page or email messages in a timely fashion, to participate in conflict resolution, or to complete their usual workload of Wikipedia tasks.

Please leave a new message at the bottom of the page. I will reply here, so do watchlist this page. Any issue to do with an article should be discussed on its talk page; please do not email me regarding Wikipedia matters.
Please do not address me using warning templates; these are optimised for new users and I don't appreciate being patronised when I have, under various aliases, been editing here since 22 May 2008 (and using this one since 7 March 2013). You may trout me instead. Any other templates are fine to use.
Most discussion boards - AfD, ANI etc. - require that you notify me of any discussion I should be aware of - DON'T bother. Tag me with {{u|Launchballer}} on the page instead. I am aware that with some noticeboards it is considered bad practice to not do so, however please take this as me opting out. (Update January 2023; it appears we now have bots to do this instead so doubly don't bother.)
I divide archives by year and then by every 100 posts. Any posts that require attention may be edited; do ping.

Paul Senn DYK hook: restoration of approved wording

@Launchballer, Victuallers, and Z1720: I think the trim removes a sourced part of the approved hook and weakens it. The sources establish that Paul Senn and Peter Surava worked together on the Sonnenberg boys’ home reportage, that the home was subsequently closed, and that its director was convicted.

The Schweizerische Kirchenzeitung states: "Gegen Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieg kam es zu einem für die weitere Entwicklung des Heimwesens wichtigen Skandal in der Heimerziehung, als der Journalist Peter Surava und der Fotograf Paul Senn Jugendliche des Erziehungsheimes Sonnenberg bei Kriens porträtierten und dabei unmenschliche Lebensbedingungen feststellten. In der Folge kam es zu der Entlassung des Heimleiters und zur Schliessung des Heims."

Translation: "Towards the end of the Second World War, an important scandal for the subsequent development of institutional care arose when journalist Peter Surava and photographer Paul Senn portrayed young people at the Sonnenberg boys’ home near Kriens and discovered inhumane living conditions. As a result, the director was dismissed and the home was closed."

Swissinfo (2013) states: "In 1944, his reportage on the Sonnenberg boys’ home in Lucerne caused such a scandal that its director was subsequently sentenced for maltreatment."

Swissinfo (2021) likewise states: "1944 sorgte seine Reportage über die Knaben-Erziehungsanstalt Sonnenberg (Kanton Luzern) in Die Nation für einen derartigen Skandal, dass der Anstaltsdirektor wegen Missbrauchs verurteilt wurde."

Translation: "In 1944, his reportage on the Sonnenberg boys’ home in the canton of Lucerne caused such a scandal that the institution’s director was convicted of abuse."
