User was blocked for being a sock (likely Andrew5), and there was consensus to not merge. --MarioProtIV (talk/contribs) 02:49, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

The Floyd article might be 6200 words, but some of it might be Triammable, the main article on Floyd also doesn’t have a lot of info on NC, the main point of impact, and this article is 1100 words, so I think it could be merged. ~2025-36320-81 (talk) 15:24, 27 November 2025 (UTC)

Oppose: Effects of Hurricane Floyd in North Carolina can be expanded way longer than it currently is. FourNoddlers (talk) 16:37, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
Even if it can, the Floyd article should have a focus on NC; some of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast content should be trimmed, and NC be merged in. Also, the article should realistically be 8,000 words as that is on pace for these destructive storm articles. Notice precedent from Hurricane Ivan and Hurricane Jeanne having subarticles merged until it got to 8,000 words. ~2025-37325-51 (talk) 15:21, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
That can be achieved without a merge. WP:NOTMERGE's rationales, especially #2, apply and should be addressed before proceeding with the merge. FourNoddlers (talk) 03:37, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
But wouldn’t that be true for Ivan, Jeanne and other storms that had subarticles merged? Floyd was less destructive then Ivan. ~2025-38584-93 (talk) 20:36, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
No, and none of that is relevant. This is about Effects of Hurricane Floyd in North Carolina and Hurricane Floyd, nothing else. FourNoddlers (talk) 00:48, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
