dont forget please
please dont forget to remove "Throughout her career, Taylor's personal life was the subject of constant media attention. She was married eight times to seven men, converted to Judaism, endured several serious illnesses, and led a jet set lifestyle, including assembling one of the most expensive private collections of jewelry in the world. After many years of ill health, Taylor died from congestive heart failure in 2011, at the age of 79." but also remove the other mention of conversion also please remove the religion she and other celebs were born to since religion is a private thing so do the same for the other celebs by removing the religion they converted to and the one they were born to 2607:FEA8:4260:C100:35DB:E88:CF22:6297 (talk) 02:45, 25 December 2024 (UTC) strike sock-- Ponyobons mots 21:12, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
- No. Don't forget? Your fellow editors are not here to craft Wikipedia to your liking. You mean censor known facts out of a Wikipedia article about a world-famous person? Are you serious? That would be POV-editing. That a single editor finds certain information distasteful is immaterial if multiple reliable sources contain such information - such as Taylor's conversion to Judaism. Her conversion was done openly and publicly and she was not ashamed of it, so neither should Wikipedia censor it. And her personal life - her marriages, her divorces, her jewelry, her support of AIDS charities, and so on - are all well documented. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and Wikipedia is not censored. - Shearonink (talk) 04:52, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
Its not chf its actually something else
Should instead say Throughout her career, Taylor's personal life was the subject of constant media attention. She was married eight times to seven men, converted to Judaism, endured several serious illnesses, and led a jet set lifestyle, including assembling one of the most expensive private collections of jewelry in the world. After many years of ill health, Taylor died from a Heart attack in 2011, at the age of 79. 2605:8D80:667:6CA3:C051:BA0C:ABD6:F40 (talk) 19:12, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
Nationality context in intro
MOS:CONTEXTBIO is the manual of style guideline that describes what should go in the intro sentence of a bio article - "provide context for that which made the person notable", "neither previous nationalities nor the country of birth should be mentioned in the opening paragraph unless relevant to the subject's notability." There are examples in the MOS guideline that are also instructive on how to describe people. Generally nationalities only get noted when tied to location of notable activities.
Taylor was born in UK to American parents and was thus an American citizen and British subject (not citizen) at the time of her birth. She returned with her parents to the US as a child, was raised in the US, and had her entire notable career in the US. Describing her solely as an American actress is thus justified. She had no acting roles in the UK while she was living there as a child. There are many discussions in the talk page archives for this article about this topic. She had both American and British honors but that is not a part of her notable acting career, it honors it. Geraldo Perez (talk) 17:15, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
