Sourcing concerns
This article has recently seen large-scale changes from Asto77. I am very concerned at the constant addition of unreliable, non-WP:MEDRS sources for biomedical content (e.g.). Asto77: have you an explanation? Bon courage (talk) 07:09, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Apologies. At heart I feel WP:MEDRS is unnecessarily conservative, and produces over-safe articles that (a) are less valuable and interesting than they could be (readers are adults), and (b) positions Wikipedia weakly in the coming survival battle vs AI (e.g. Grok DeepSearch). (See WP:MEDRS talk page). But I understand those are the current wiki rules, so I'll desist. Go well. Asto77 (talk) 23:52, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Asto77 Could you please stop using non-WP:MEDRS sources on this page? Studies such as this are not WP:MEDRS sources (eg. review articles).
- Also, have a look at some of the discussion of Frontiers Media journals here and here, they are not very reliable sources to use. And also see WP:MDPI about MDPI journals, which aren't very reliable too. Tristario (talk) 23:06, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
Excessive sections
@Asto77 When I found this article, it had an excessive amount of sections and subsections, which made it difficult to navigate and cluttered. I removed a lot, but it still has a lot of sections and subsections, as far as wikipedia articles go. Could you please avoid adding more sections/subsections to the article, when they aren't necessary? MOS:OVERSECTION states Very short sections and subsections clutter an article with headings and inhibit the flow of the prose. Short paragraphs and single sentences generally do not warrant their own subheadings.

apologies for the mess and thanks for clearing it up - much appreciated. Asto77 (talk) 11:37, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
Removing "Impact on partners" section
Like the other commenter pointed out, it is too short to warrant its own section. I also question whether it's pertinent for a page on a disabling chronic condition to talk about its effects on the partners of the people actually suffering. 129.97.124.15 (talk) 13:15, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
Fibromyalgia
I think it would be appropriate to add the name, Virginia Roberts Giuffre to the list of persons who were diagnosed with with Fibromyalgia. ~2025-39046-41 (talk) 16:25, 7 December 2025 (UTC)
- I inadvertently added the word ‘with’ twice. Please remove one of them. ~2025-39046-41 (talk) 16:28, 7 December 2025 (UTC)
Improving top-importance medicine articles: Join the Vital Signs campaign 2026
The goal of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Medicine/Vital Signs 2026 campaign is to bring all 101 top-importance articles—including this one—up to at least B-class quality. Many of these articles are widely read but overdue for review, so even small improvements can have a big impact.
If you watch or edit this article, your help would be very welcome. You can:
- Add yourself as a participant
- Note the state of the article in the Progress table (is the current class still correct?)
- Update the article based on recent clinical guidelines and review papers
- Help address gaps, improve clarity for a broad audience, or improve image selection
To reach B class, articles should have: suitable referencing, reasonable coverage, a clear structure, good prose, helpful illustrations, and be understandable to a broad audience. Contributions of any size are appreciated. Femke (talk) 16:00, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
