~2026-14559-06 (talk) 22:48, 6 March 2026 (UTC)according to the source given (422) https://web.archive.org/web/20170513192450/http://hiphopdx.com/news/id.20777/title.kendrick-lamar-explains-why-he-signed-to-aftermath-interscope Kendrick Lamar did not condemn frank ocean for coming out. “Yeah, he’s being his own individual. I respect him for coming out with it, knowing it’s a lot of tough-acting rappers out here that got the same sexuality and scared so they’ll go stage a front. I respect that man more for being aware. And nobody should say nothing about it, especially the rappers because you can shun him forever or whatever, but you’re wearing Versace, Louis Vuitton, Dolce. … These people you wearing have the same sexuality. That’s the crazy part. Yeah, I respect that man.” the source provide seems to say the opposite
Not done The article says "commended" not "condemned". Tbhotch™ (CC BY-SA 4.0) 01:03, 7 March 2026 (UTC)

I propose to replace the following text.

He contributed to the soundtrack of the 2018 film Black Panther, earning a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Original Song for "All the Stars".

This is not correct and should be replaced with:

He curated the soundtrack (wherein he co-wrote and performed several songs) for the 2018 film Black Panther, earning a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Original Song for "All the Stars", along with two Grammy nominations, for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for "King's Dead" — winning the latter.  Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want made. talk 09:53, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
These changes suggested are common knowledge and are mentioned below in this very page :) ~2026-14715-52 (talk) 19:57, 7 March 2026 (UTC)

Template:Infobox musical artist says the alias field should be "For listing official stage names". Kung Fu Kenny and Mr. Morale are nicknames used by fans and in lyrics, but no material has been officially released under those names as stage names.

| alias =

While preparing this edit request, I also noted these redundant citations:

−
Lamar released his second mixtape, Training Day, in 2007. Reeves complemented its varied production and "well-executed" concept, which was based on the 2001 film.

Should the other Aliases be removed or is that just an addition to the hlist? EvenLeoEme (talk) 16:24, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
I believe "Kung Fu Kenny" and "Mr. Morale" should be removed ~2026-13653-92 (talk) 17:13, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
Partly done The fourth part of the request has been done, as I am unable to find the information mentioned in the article in the reference. The grammar issue of the third part has also been fixed. The references of the second and third part will stay, as I was able to trace the article's information back to the references. I am still verifying for the first part of the request. My point is not that the citations are incorrect but that they are redundant. It's the same source being cited back-to-back ~2026-13653-92 (talk) 17:40, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
Done After further discussion and consideration, the entire request has been done. Thank you for reporting the mistakes and helping keep this article clean. EvenLeoEme (talk) 17:53, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
