  • comment: ALT1 fails WP:DYKFICTION. For this, I have struck it. Roast (talk) 03:07, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
    • Great work on this article! It is very interesting and you clearly put a lot of effort into it. There are two issues though. The first is that Earwig shows a 51% copyright issue () - could you please trim the quote? Also, I was trying to verify some facts and could not find them in the inline citation (for example, I could not find the source that said that he identified as a lesbian during puberty). Could you please ensure that the citations verifying the fact are given at the end of the relevant statement and could you please do a spotcheck before I approve this to ensure that everything here is sourced? :) Also, Buzzfeed and the Daily Mirror are considered not the most reliable by they work in an WP:ABOUTSELF way so they are fine, as is the Facebook source. • I've trimmed the quote, I hope the copyright issue decreased enough and we can still illustrate some of Hancox's thoughts. I found and added a source which said that he identified as a lesbian. I did a spot check, everything is sourced. Thank you for picking this up. ^^ Respair (talk) 14:36, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
        • Thank you for this! All of the above are sourced in the article and verified and they are all interesting. Hence, this is approved. Well done! I think ALT0 is the most interesting. I would recommend one final spotcheck as I found an error (it said aged 10 in the article whereas it did not say so in the source) and it would be best to avoid these of course. • Thank you for the response, I'm just wondering whether ALT0 is decided upon? I personally have a preference for ALT2 as I think it would probably entice more readers compared to the others, but I'd love to hear what others think. Respair (talk) 13:30, 13 January 2026 (UTC)

I'm okay with either. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 19:21, 13 January 2026 (UTC)

  • DaniloDaysOfOurLives, I now have a preference for ALT3, as does Hancox (subject of the BLP) himself. I think it's quite enticing for a graphic novelist's article and I asked some my friends which hook they find most enticing and a fair amount chose this one too. Respair (talk) 23:58, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
  • I'm fine with any of the hooks, but since Hancox has a preference for ALT3, I think we should go with that one Finnfrog99 (talk) 00:00, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
