Name change

I am writing on behalf of Lucas Krupinski. His professional name has changed from ‘Łukasz’ to ‘Lucas’ as confirmed by artist's official website - https://www.lucaskrupinski.co.uk/. Could the page title be updated to reflect this? Pianofan642 (talk) 22:11, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

Corrected name

Lucas Krupinski's official name as an artist is Lucas Krupinski (to replace the Polish spelling). https://www.lucaskrupinski.co.uk/ Beetle 89 (talk) 13:01, 4 November 2025 (UTC)

Łukasz Krupiński → Lucas Krupinski – Please place your rationale for the proposed move here. Happy Editing -- IAmChaos 22:43, 29 November 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. TarnishedPathtalk 02:24, 7 December 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I am writing on behalf of Lucas Krupinski. The article currently uses the old spelling “Łukasz Krupiński”, but his professional and internationally used name is now “Lucas Krupinski”.

Please update the article to the correct spelling.

  • Comment I don't have anything againt a move, but I think it should be clear that unless there is evidence that he has legaly changed his name in Poland his native name should remain listed first in the article, as is standard with artists who use pseudonyms.★Trekker (talk) 08:36, 9 December 2025 (UTC)

Request to review additional sources for single-source tag

I have previously disclosed that I am connected to the subject of this article and am acting on behalf of Lucas Krupinski. I understand that this creates a conflict of interest, so I will not edit the article directly.

I would like to help address the maintenance tag stating that the article relies largely or entirely on a single source. Below are additional sources that may help verify the article and improve the range of inline citations.

Suggested sources:

1. https://www.pizzicato.lu/und-noch-ein-herausragender-polnischer-pianist/ – independent review of the album Espressione.

2. http://www.allegrovivo.org/en/piano-competition/2016/pianists-up-to-30/result – verifies the First Prize at the VII International Piano Competition in San Marino, including the Audience Award, Music Critics’ Award and Orchestra Award.

3. https://www.psfcu.com/member-resources/newsroom/news?article_id=83 - verifies Carnegie Hall performance

4. https://www.rpo.co.uk/tickets-memberships/event/2024/beethovens-eroica-symphony-3 - verifies performance with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Cadogan Hall

5. https://www.wigmore-hall.org.uk/whats-on/202110171800 - verifies performance at the Wigmore Hall in London

6. https://www.chopin-society.org.uk/recital/lucas-krupinski/ – verifies recital activity in the UK and biographical details including Chopin Competition semi-finalist status and Busoni finalist status.

7. https://citynews.com.au/2024/acclaimed-pianist-krupinski-returns-to-canberra/ – verifies Australian recital activity and mentions major venue appearances including Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall, La Fenice and Salle Cortot.

Could an uninvolved editor please review whether these sources are suitable and, if appropriate, add inline citations to the article so that it no longer relies mainly on a single source?

Thank you. Pianofan642 (talk) 10:48, 3 May 2026 (UTC)

Just a polite follow-up on this request, which has now been open for approximately three months. I appreciate that the COI edit-request backlog is very large. The request is primarily intended to provide additional independent sources so that the single-source maintenance tag can be reviewed. I would be grateful if an uninvolved editor could take a look when possible. Thank you. Pianofan642 (talk) 19:02, 8 August 2026 (UTC)
Hi Pianofan642. It's great that you are following Wikipedi's conflict of interest policy.
One reason this request may have languished is because only the review of his recording (#1) and the news article (#7) are the kind of sources that Wikipedia considers reliable. The Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union's brief reference to Krupinski performing in a Paderewski gala at Carnegie Hall is the kind of trivia that Wikipedia generally avoids. Press coverage of a Carnegie debut with an orchestra or a solo recital is the kind of notability Wikipedia requires.
Based on the article, and the seven suggested sources to improve its defects, it appears that Krupinski may not meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline: "A topic is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list when it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject."
A link to a concert listing at Wigmore Hall is not a reliable source that establishes the notability of Krupinski. His victory in San Marino is better documented by independent media coverage rather than by the competition's website.
If there are any more reviews or profiles of Krupinski, those should be added to this list of potential sources. As it stands, the impasse here is essentially that Krupinski's career hasn't yet generated significant coverage. Trumpetrep (talk) 20:50, 9 August 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for the helpful explanation. I understand the distinction between sources that verify individual performances and the independent, significant coverage needed for notability.
I have found several additional reviews and profiles that may be more relevant:
I hope these may be more useful for assessing the article and the single-source tag. I would be grateful for your view on whether any of them are suitable for inclusion.
Thank you again for taking the time to look at this. Pianofan642 (talk) 20:12, 22 August 2026 (UTC)

Request to add approved Wikimedia Commons photograph

I have previously disclosed that I am connected to the subject of this article and am acting on behalf of Lucas Krupinski. I understand that this creates a conflict of interest, so I am requesting review by an uninvolved editor.

A new portrait photograph has been uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. Permission from the photographer, Matthew Johnson, has now been confirmed by the Wikimedia Volunteer Response Team, and the file is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0:

Could an uninvolved editor please consider adding this image to the article infobox?

Suggested infobox parameter: | image = Lucas Krupinski - Pianist.jpg | caption = Lucas Krupinski, 2026
