Overall: 
Hooks are interesting and are both mentioned in the linked Minnesota Women's Press source, which is mentioned in the article as required. Article prose is well-written and sources look good. I've added a {{non-primary source needed}} to the sentence on the Myra Bradwell Award, but this isn't relevant to the hooks. Earwig is showing up clean, only really highlighting some of the organization or job names. QPQ done.
I'm leaning towards the first hook. Very small issue – the source only refers to her helping out a neighbor in the first instance and then generally "More people", not neighbors. @CaptainAngus: could you adjust this detail in the hook and the article?
