Manon (singer) to Manon Bannerman
Previous to Dream Academy, Manon has been credited as Meret Bannerman ("Chandelier") and Meret Manon ("Parkhaus", "Baby Blizzard"), but she has since started using her middle name Manon instead of Meret. Since Dream Academy, most sources introduce her as Manon Bannerman rather than just Manon. I can't find anything more recent production credit wise than the music videos. I lean towards thinking her article should be Manon Bannerman rather than Manon (singer). Would like to know what others think. — Cactoideae♫♪ (talk) 03:57, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
- I'd say I agree, plus, if needed, it can always be mentioned as "known mononymously as Manon" or similar. IsaacMDB23 (talk) 09:08, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
- I say we will need to wait for her emerging career to truly have consensus on her official stage/professional name, (such as Spotify/Music credits like "Daniela Avanzini"). Not to mention, she credits herself simply "Manon" as per her own short film and online presence. Warmtoned 🕯 talk! 16:50, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
Grammys and MTV awards
@Cactoideae: Thanks for the revert note. I agree that the fuller awards coverage belongs mainly in Katseye, but I wondered whether one very brief sentence might still be appropriate here for the Swiss-specific significance of these milestones.
For example, Swiss coverage has framed Bannerman’s 2026 Grammy milestone as historically notable for her individually, describing her as the first Swiss artist nominated in a Grammy General Field category and the first Swiss woman to perform at the ceremony as a member of KATSEYE. Similarly, Swiss coverage of the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards described her as the first Swiss woman to win an MTV Video Music Award, through KATSEYE’s Push Performance of the Year win for “Touch”.
I’d be happy to keep any mention here very concise and attributed, with the fuller group-awards coverage remaining in Katseye. 21mis (talk) 15:40, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hi! I definitely skimmed the second paragraph more than I should have. I agree the Grammy can be included noting her significance as the first Swiss artist etc, and the Push Performance as well if you include a source for that relevance too.— Cactoideae♫♪ (talk) 15:54, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hello!! Yes, thank you. I tried to do that, what do you think? 21mis (talk) 16:39, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
- Orangesclub just made some changes to it. All looks good to me.— Cactoideae♫♪ (talk) 17:33, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

Did you know nomination
- ... that Manon Bannerman (pictured) started going by her middle name after her classmates had difficulty pronouncing Meret, her given name?

- Comment: Adding a range of interesting DYKs we could use from her article. The image we have of her is good quality too so would be nice to use.

- @Orangesclub: Interested in doubling this up with Pinky Up? I would suggest ALT3: ... that the music video for an April 2025 single by all members of Katseye except Manon Bannerman (pictured) features multiple trans women including Elon Musk's daughter?--Launchballer 12:24, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
- Ah, personally I'd prefer a way to highlight something to do with Manon instead of highlighting how she was excluded from something. I also don't think Vivian likes being referred to in connection with her father so I would personally avoid that. To be clear, I'm not opposed to a DYK for "Pinky Up" (I actually didn't know it was nominated, nice work) but I think highlighting Manon's absense is a bit messy. orangesclub 🍊 12:32, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
"Proffesionally known as [-insert name here-]"
@Orangesclub Every member of Katseye (even if it's not on their article) has a proffesionally known name, such as "Yoonchae", "Daniela", "Megan", "Sophia", "Manon", etc etc, and their proffessionally known names have ben seen in reliable sources. It should be added. shane (talk to me if you want!) 13:34, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
- Source? Fans call them by their first names, sure, but the majority of the reliable sources used refer to them with their surnames also, which indicates that that is how they are professionally known. Do you have a WP:RS that Manon is mononymous? orangesclub 🍊 13:39, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
