Useful Timeline Removal

Flatthew created a useful visual timeline to show what I agree to be Gills complicated political career. (you can see it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nathan_Gill&oldid=1314219641 )

ValenciaThunderbolt you removed this saying it was "Unnecessary, as no other page has this."

I personally don't believe the fact that 'other pages don't have it' makes it 'unnecessary', as it helps explain the complicated timings in his career and what he was affiliated with when specific events were happening. I think it adds to the article and that we should add it back in.

Rather than just diving back in, I thought I'd raise it here in case you two or anyone had any other opinions.HollowGannet (talk) 06:47, 14 October 2025 (UTC)

I had missed that this had happened! Thank you for bringing me in to this @HollowGannet. I agree they're unconventional, but I think they're quite useful, particularly in this case where it's quite difficult to articulate in text his overlapping roles and his party memberships. I have created them elsewhere, like for Mark Reckless where you likewise have somewhat confusing and hard to articulate political situations, and have intended to create more of them. But they are not unprecedented.
I do think we miss something if we don't improve pages because the way to do so is unconventional @ValenciaThunderbolt but I'd be happy to discuss it further with you if you have further objections to it. But I don't think it hurts, nor is it against any policy I can find, so I certainly wish to reinstate it. Flatthew (talk) 08:47, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
