- Neither the Gram, nor an online invitation to the event count as reliable sources that the event happened. Got a local newspaper article detailing the events as they happened or after? - Adolphus79 (talk) 17:28, 21 October 2025 (UTC)

- "Offering no additional specifics on the nature of the alleged threats nor on the individuals or groups who allegedly made them" doesn't invoke a lot of confidence that this is 100% truthful. --ZimZalaBim talk 22:39, 20 October 2025 (UTC)

- This source states where they were planned from two days prior to the event. At this point, this content is outdated, we have sourced content about a large number of planned rallies in Washington, additional content now should be looking for sources about events that did happen. - Adolphus79 (talk) 17:33, 21 October 2025 (UTC)

Reactions revert
Came across the reactions section in rough shape earlier and made some edits. Seemed like some WP:WEIGHT problems, and also written kind of unclearly with unsourced passages. I tried to condense it while communicating the central points communicated by the cited sources, but it looks like that was reverted. I'd encourage someone else to reinstate the condensation. Separately, IMO merge single-sentence state-based sections into a single section. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 19:57, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Rhododendrites, Thank you for making an effort to improve the article. As the writer and now the reverter of that section I disagree with your conclusion, but the work you put in is still appreciated.
(idk, does that sound too unctuous?)
I laid out my reasoning at inconvenient length in my edit summaries, that these events leading up to the rally are relevant and significant to it. I am, however, tightening the section a bit. I also changed the section name back to "Republican accusations" from "reactions", which it acquired on the way and which was a poor fit since this bit is exclusively about things that happened leading up to the rally. A move to a subsection of the background section could be appropriate when and if that section is heftier.I didn't think there were unsourced sections, if you point them out I'll look into them. Lastly, this is a quickly growing article so the relative WEIGHT of the rest of it is increasing rapidly. --Kizor 20:41, 18 October 2025 (UTC)- Correction: the section dropped some of its citations when it was moved from No Kings protest. I have now restored them. --Kizor 20:56, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
Trump's response
In response to the protests, Trump posted an AI-generated video of himself in a crown, flying a jet which dumps brown liquid on the protesters' heads. There currently isn't a good place to mention this in the article (maybe "Republican accusations" could become "Republican responses"?) but it needs to be included somewhere. - The brown liquid was AI generated images of feces. In the video Trump posted a video of him dumping seemingly tons of poop onto the protestors. A very inappropriate and unprofessional response that should be included in this page. I would also suggest removing the block on regular editors from changing the page to allow for more quick and efficient updates when the editors who have been granted access have committed such oversights or neglect of information. Stardust1259 (talk) 07:58, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
- Can we really say we're surprised by trump's infantile behavior in response to the peaceful No Kings Protests? As disgusting and unpresidential as trump's behavior was in posting that garbage, yes, it should be included in the article because an American President actually stooped to that level.Mr. Drysdale (talk) 13:53, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
