Supermassive Black Hole (SBH)
The abbreviation of the three words supermassive black hole is the three letters SBH. 2607:FB91:1993:15C9:528:B285:B138:9C93 (talk) 21:55, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
- True, but a majority of published scientific papers use the SMBH abbreviation. Perhaps this is because it is more distinctive in searches? Regardless, both uses should be mentioned for this reason. Praemonitus (talk) 03:12, 15 August 2023 (UTC)

- Also, SBH is an abbreviation of stellar black hole, so SMBH avoids ambiguity. Praemonitus (talk) 01:46, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
