This page is already so long and overdetailed. We should have a new page dubbed the Second Trump Travel Bans while renaming this one the first trump travel bans TheFloridaTyper (talk) 16:29, 16 March 2025 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: moved. Moved to Travel bans under the Trump administrations - per RfC close and overall lack of participation here.
Based on the closure of the RfC, which seems based on a quick reading to have "soft" support for a title in this style (with the exception of removing "Donald", which had slight majority there), I will go ahead with this move. Due to lack of participation, it can be regarded as an WP:RM/TR-style close - so if anybody feels strongly against it please ping me and I can reopen, or you can open a new RM at any point if you wish. Trump travel ban → Travel bans under the Donald Trump administrations
It's becoming clear to me that this article's title doesn't exactly comply with Wikipedia's naming conventions, and sounds informal, almost casual. It's also singular, when multiple travel bans now exist; I'm hoping to align this article's name with some of the other Trump-related ones, such as the family separation policy and his first 100 days articles.
This new title is tentative, though, so if you have any better suggestions, please be WP:BOLD and share them.

- Comment -- while I haven't looked into this issue significantly (yet), it does seem rather odd and causal for an executive order to be phrased as such -- basically news headline slop. I would be interested in looking into other administration's administrative orders article titles to see what the established precedent is -- I think simply running with any headline news phrase for an official government action and executive order seems inappropriate. To be clear, I'm not a fan of the proposed title here either, but I do think the current title is a poor choice as well. TiggerJay (talk) 05:03, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
- Comment: Should it matter, there's an ongoing discussion (which I now see has been turned into an RfC) re: titles for subarticles of presidencies.
