The RollingStone reference is used twice in the article (refs 5 and 16): these should be merged.
The first paragraph of the "Reception" section suffers from a repetitive "X said Y" format. WP:RECEPTION has some advice on how to avoid that.

Otherwise, I think this is find to bring to WP:GAN. Consider reviewing articles listed there to clear the backlog, build goodwill amongst reviewers, and make it more likely that your article will be noticed. Z1720 (talk) 20:37, 20 March 2026 (UTC)

I do have some gripes

In the lead you say (often mistitled as Master) but downt see this in the article body (everything in the lead should be in the body)

I did include it in the Background and recording section!

From "Music and lyrics": Yeah Yeah Yeahs is an alternative rock, art punk, garage rock, and indie rock EP.[7][9] - would drop this as the best place for genre wars is the infobox.

You could better explain how they broke out, ie from a self-finance ep to a contract with Touch and Go. Some of the dates and stats are fuzzy about which release is being referred to. Would be interested to know

Who paid for the recording
Did the initial release sell anything
How did they hook up with touch and go
More detail on the design of the sleeve and who was the photographer
What was the promotional approach for both the initial and T&G releases

I've been doing more research since nominating for review since I figured it would probably be minor additions that I could sub-in, but I'm having a bit of trouble finding sources for it. Maybe it's because I don't know any books.

Your using the very old-fashioned cite web ref template...which is a html mess and makes editing and copyediting very, very difficult. Consider something more sparse like snf.

Got it. You would've HATED what I did for the YYYs article.

The sources are all from the web, and they are mostly contemporary. Yet there are a few comprehensive books published since that would have a broader view and more insight into the band's trajectory at the time. Contemporary sources lack perspective for one. Ceoil (talk) 23:53, 26 March 2026 (UTC)

You and me both. I have not been able to, for the life of me, find who "Crispin" is. My best guess is that it's a ghost credit, since the photos look like they were taken by the bands themselves. But the "Crispin" person is credited with every release, hence why I added it.

I'll clarify that he's just a guitarist, then. In my head, session guitarist made more sense since it was that one song he co-wrote and appeared with the band in live performances SUPER early in their career.

Think the Mark Bowan quote "we ...were amazed they had no record deal [and] flew to America" currently in the notes should be paraphrased and brought into the article body. Breakthrough stories are always interesting, bring the page alive, and have juice for readability... similarly, was thinking that the later statement "Although the then unknown band did not anticipate its success" is a bit dry and leaves too much unsaid (amid all the chart stats and he-said/she-said reviews). More gold in an earlier note...ie that the reordings were essentially demos that took off..."Our first EP was recorded as a demo, so we could get shows at cool clubs opening up for bigger bands.
