Custom Creator Award The Custom Creator Award is a personalized YouTube award granted to channels that surpass 50 million subscribers. Unlike other Creator Awards, this recognition does not follow a fixed design; instead, it is custom-made to reflect each creator’s brand or identity.
Previously, the award was consistently presented to qualifying channels. However, since September 1, 2020, it has been absent from YouTube's Creator Awards FAQ,[26] and is now awarded entirely at YouTube's discretion. Despite its unofficial status, YouTube has continued to distribute it selectively to creators who reach the 50 million subscriber milestone.
The first widely known recipient was PewDiePie, who informally dubbed his award the Ruby Creator Award, after receiving a ruby-colored trophy shaped like his channel logo. The design of the award varies by creator. Notable examples include:
T-Series, which received a transparent, crystal-like trophy;
Blackpink, which received a black award with a pink base.
Channels that have publicly showcased their Custom Creator Awards are often marked with a hashtag symbol (#) in lists of recipients.
As of June 22, 2025, a total of 90 YouTube channels have surpassed the 50 million subscriber mark and are eligible for, or have received, a Custom Creator Award.[25]
