User:Local Internet User

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I started out by mostly fixing and adding citations in my spare time, an electronic version of raking a rock garden. I also like working on backlogs because seeing the numbers go down feels good and seeing them go up feels bad. Now I'm branching out to de-stubbing because it's a chance to learn about new topics and then share what I've learned.

Currently participating in: Unreferenced article backlog drive March 2026

Finally starting to participate in:

Wikipedia:The 50,000 Destubbing Challenge &
Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge

Locations I've destubbed an article from:
Benin Bhutan Brazil British Indian Ocean Territory0.5 Burkina Faso Cameroon1.5 Central African Republic Chad Comoros Ivory Coast Equatorial Guinea2 Georgia (country) Ghana Greenland2 Guinea-Bissau Indonesia3 Italy
Kenya Lesotho Liberia2 Malta Mozambique Nigeria0.5 Senegal Seychelles Togo United Kingdom0.5 United States United Nations

Currently focused on Top/High-importance stubs in Africa. My goal is to get them up to at least C-Class.

I succeeded in my goal to get the number of Top-importance African stubs down under 100, and now I'm making sure we keep it below 100. The count is currently: 92.

A few destubs I'm happy with:

Also working on Language stubs, including:

Stuff I like to check on:

Ongoing tasks when I get stuck:

  • alphabetic characters in post-Soviet languages
  • defunct minor league baseball teams
  • adding sources and details to writing systems' pages and alphabets' letters: Abkhaz ATM
  • seeing if there's anything useful I can add to linguistics articles lacking sources:
  • fixing missing/broken ethnologue references on language pages (changing ref name e18, etc. to template e18)
  • adding coordinates to various articles:

Completed(?) tasks in case I want to return to them:

Stuff to do when I'm out of ideas:
