Information icon Hello, I'm Blaada. I noticed that you recently removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. Fidelity Manor High School

I am James Ford and I am very confused. I wrote the original Wikipedia article that has been edited by hundreds of people. I recently added my name for the second time as a notable person. Originally, I had a number of other people listed that were removed based on the "manual." I did not question the removal at that time, however, now I have been removed again because of "MOS." I have looked for the specifics and I am not able to find the information that suggest the removal. Someone suggested that it might be "vanity press" which is not true. My book publication was completed by Mellen Press and I did not pay for it. The information posted indicates that both my information and the other Fidelity Manor persons are not notable. What does it take to be notable. Others were removed such as Veterans who died in war, GISD elected board members, and even other graduates who were elected to official government positions. Craig Washington is not the only elected official. I need a better explanation, not so much for myself but the others that were removed after I wrote the original article. 2600:1700:E5F0:C0E0:21AC:DD82:19AE:29FF (talk) 16:07, 29 July 2025 (UTC)

James, the Manual of Style for locations (and other entities, such as schools) was changed awhile ago. There was much discussion before the change was made. In summary, Notable people in Notable sections should have an approved wikipedia about them, which can therefore before linked into the Notability section. Lacking that, consensus was that the individual should not be listed. Unfortunately I can't provide the active link for you, but trust me all the above info is there. 50.81.237.224 (talk) 18:04, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
Sorrry for the typo. I meant "an approved wikipedia article" about them". 50.81.237.224 (talk) 18:05, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
Thank you for your reply. I do understand the "consensus." With that understanding, that is kind of why I moved on with my life after the initial writing of the article. The removal of the Fidelity graduates who have done something great and notable for humanity were not recognized and removed from the original article, because they are not recognized in Wikipedia. Wow! What a consensus. Here is a school that existed and educated students during Jim Crow, reconstruction, separate but equal and finally destroyed by bulldozer, and those students who took that education and leaped over life's hurdles, and walls can't be notable because they are not notable in Wikipedia. Again, Wow...Only commenting. I will move on!!!!!!!!! 2600:1700:E5F0:C0E0:49BE:C78B:55CF:509C (talk) 20:48, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
James,
I certainly feel for you. It sure sounds like several of those individuals, including you, are far more notable in their endeavors, and certainly in what they overcame to achieve their goals than many, many others who do have linked articles. My first reading and editing of the article came just a few days ago. I encourage you to look for wikipedia articles that include any of them, then link them to the article. That works too. Also, I've never played the "I'm just an IP" card before, but that's certainly the case. Therefore, I had no control over any tags that appeared alongside my edit summary.
Happy editing, and thanks for your contributions to the article to begin with. 50.81.237.224 (talk) 23:31, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
