Unreliable sources
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. However, please do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, your own website, websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight, expressing views that are widely acknowledged as extremist, that are promotional in nature, or that rely heavily on rumors and personal opinions, as one of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. If you require further assistance, please look at Help:Menu/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse. Thank you. virtualbangladesh.com clearly does not meet WP:RS criteria. OhNoitsJamie Talk 12:36, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
Please use inline citations rather than pasting a single reference at the end of the article
Please use inline citations. An example of a well-referenced article using inline citations is Battle of Atlanta. OhNoitsJamie Talk 20:56, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
Copy/pasting copyrighted text
One of your recent edits has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. Possible edit warring / Unexplained removal of context.
Hi there ABCD0106. Peering over at your contributions, I can see you have repeatedly been removing the 'Bangladeshi' from 'Bangladeshi-Indian' on a few pages despite multiple reverts. Not only would I like to take this chance to remind you about edit policies and their purpose, but also on edit warring. To avoid the continuous back and forth of reverting and having your edits also reverted, it'd be best to discuss why you believe the victory is Indian and not Bangladeshi-Indian in the article's talk pages. I can see you have asked for page protection on their talk pages - if you wish to do this, please fill out the request on this noticeboard and an administrator will review your request.
If you have any additional context or information, do let me know. This notice also serves as a warning not to continue this behavior, as it could be deemed edit warring - seeing as you have made no attempt to reach a consensus. Synorem (talk) 01:42, 4 May 2024 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Battle of Sylhet, you may be blocked from editing. Aaaas216& (talk) 08:00, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
Welcome!
Hi ABCD0106! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay.
The rule that affects you most as a new or IP editor is the prohibition on making any edit related to Indian military history or castes, political parties, and social groups in South Asia, which includes discussing articles on talk pages, unless you are logged into an account that is at least 30 days old and has made at least 500 edits.
This prohibition is broadly construed, so it includes edits such as adding the reaction of a public figure concerning a historical conflict to their article, discussing which caste a person may or may not belong to, or noting the position of a company or organization as it relates a political party.
The exception to this rule is that you may request a specific change to an article on the talk page of that article or at this page. Please ensure that your requested edit complies with our neutral point of view and reliable sourcing policies, and if the edit is about a living person our policies on biographies of living people as well.
Any edits you make contrary to these rules are likely to be reverted, and repeated violations can lead to you being blocked from editing.As you get started, you may find this short tutorial helpful:

{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. Daniel Case (talk) 20:21, 10 November 2025 (UTC)Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), broadly construed, including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days in order to make edits related to two subtopics: (1) Indian military history, or (2) social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
