February 2026
Hello, I'm StephenMacky1. I noticed that you recently made an edit to Siege of Constantinople (717–718) in which your edit summary did not appear to describe the change you made. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. StephenMacky1 (talk) 19:35, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Siege of Constantinople (717–718). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. StephenMacky1 (talk) 22:42, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- BasedBossx, you need to stop using misleading edit summaries, along with removing and changing sourced content as you did here. Flag spamming is not constructive either. StephenMacky1 (talk) 22:45, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
Un-constructive edits
Please do not change the infobox information without WP:RS as did in Battle of Mosynopolis and Battle of Serres (1205). I also noticed that I am not alone as you been reverted by other editors in similar articles. Moreover the purpose of the infobox is to summarize not to supplement the main body. A.Cython(talk) 21:45, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- I agree with A.Cython. You are changing information and adding unsourced information to infoboxes. You should stop. --Kansas Bear (talk) 01:07, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- Well, if the editor refuses to listen, then unfortunately WP:ANI will have to be the next step. Three editors (including me) have already warned them about their conduct. StephenMacky1 (talk) 01:56, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- After my last warning, they continued their Tendentious editing like here. Adding "Light" and "Heavy" to the infobox for casualties, when the article says nothing like that. --Kansas Bear (talk) 03:34, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- The following edits are not helpful: , , ,
- @StephenMacky1 and @Kansas Bear I do not think the editor is here to be constructive. A.Cython(talk) 03:34, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hello sorry, i can fix those issues, as you can see i have done more construction than destruction BasedBossx (talk) 03:38, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- I think you should revert every edit you've made to all battle articles since you've added unsourced information and/or added improper information to the Result. --Kansas Bear (talk) 03:40, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- I mainly added flags and included everything stated in the article though BasedBossx (talk) 03:41, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- That's so not true. You have added "Light" and "Heavy" to casualty sections, which are not supported by the article, to multiple articles. --Kansas Bear (talk) 03:44, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- You also changed the battle outcome . A.Cython(talk) 03:44, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- Not to mentioned that you added additional information that was WP:OR by adding additional participants and used anachronistic flags, see here and here and these just two examples out of more pages that you edited. A.Cython(talk) 03:48, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- I can fix those no problem, I just read the article and went off that. Is there a problem with the flags i put BasedBossx (talk) 03:51, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- I see no reason for flags in the infobox. --Kansas Bear (talk) 03:53, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- Why is that? I see every large significant country and battle involving that country such as France or England, has every flag placed in every section, why can't this be the same BasedBossx (talk) 03:55, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- It appears that at the end of the day they cause more trouble than been informative, per MOS:INFOBOXUSE.
We use them carefully based on WP:RS not by adding imaginary participants or flags used a century after the event. A.Cython(talk) 03:57, 15 February 2026 (UTC)- What is the trouble if they are accurate?? BasedBossx (talk) 03:58, 15 February 2026 (UTC)

Warning
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing a page's content back to how you believe it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree with your changes. Please stop editing the page and use the talk page to work toward creating a version of the page that represents consensus among the editors involved. Wikipedia provides a page explaining how this is accomplished. If discussions reach an impasse, you can request help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution such as a third opinion. In some cases, you may wish to request page protection while a discussion to resolve the dispute is ongoing.
If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, or whether it involves the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also, please keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule— if things indicate that you intend to continue reverting content on the page. --Kansas Bear (talk) 15:42, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry Kansas Bear, I will make sure all edits are correct, flags will be the main addition nothing else will change to any article from now on. Still new to this editing, my apologies BasedBossx (talk) 15:52, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
Complaint about your edits on my talk page
Hello BasedBossx. User:Kansas Bear has posted a complaint about your edits on my talk page. You can respond there if you wish. I notice that more than two dozen of your edits have been reverted by others, which is a hint that you might not be following Wikipedia policy. EdJohnston (talk) 18:53, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
