Blacklisted sandbox
My sandbox User:Growpath/sandbox is blacklisted. Could you kindly remove this blacklisting? Many thanks. Growpath (talk) 16:39, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I don't know anything about how or why it might be blacklisted (or how to remove it). older ≠ wiser 16:51, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the fast response! But where do I go from here? (I'm relatively new to editing) Growpath (talk) 16:53, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) @Favonian who sorted out your user page back in October might be able to help?
- But if your name is tangled up with some blacklisted entity, I wonder if it might be easier to change to a different username, at this relatively early point in your editing career? User:Pathgrow? Favonian might be able to advise, as they presumably understand what the blacklisting is about! PamD 18:04, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Growpath: I'm inclined to agree with PamD: changing your user name is the easiest way out of this. If I'm not mistaken, the blacklisting is due to the antics of a certain long-term nuisance who favored names somewhat similar to your preferred moniker. We don't mention that one's name – it's a Voldemort kind of thing. The (ab)user in question is, AFAIK, no longer active, but they have at least one admirer who practices the sincerest form of flattery. Giving in to the forces of imbecility is a a drag, but it's the easy way around the problem. Favonian (talk) 18:57, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for all your help and advice. I was hoping to stick with the current name as I've done quite a lot of edits. I think that the sandbox (which I've not looked at until now) was blocked at the same time as my user page, which you successfully unblocked; so I was hoping that you could just unblock the sandbox as well. But, of course, if its a problem doing that, I'll change my user name. Thanks again! Growpath (talk) 19:05, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- Fixing one page (home page, sandbox, ...) is easy enough (for an admin), but the problem will recur every time you try to create a page with your username in it: user subpages, talk page archives, etc. A losing proposition in the long run. Favonian (talk) 19:20, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- OK thanks for that explanation. I'll apply for a name change. Growpath (talk) 19:23, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Favonian Is there any way in which the list of blacklisted usernames could connect into the username registration process, so that we don't get this situation where someone can create a username for themself, edit happily for some time, and only discover the problem when they try to create a user page? PamD 20:36, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Growpath See Wikipedia:Changing username, which explains that your previous edits will still be credited to your new name, which may be reassuring. PamD 20:41, 5 January 2026 (UTC)

manual revert on my entry
Hello. I made an edit to ISCC yesterdat adding a description of the ISCC International Standard Content Code there with a link to the relevant ISO standard. Wikimedia itself is using ISCC codes, so I wonder why you reverted this: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/CommonsDB Etma 1222 (talk) 21:55, 17 January 2026 (UTC)

Deleted my entry?
Hi. You removed my entry on re: John Bender. This lawyer has been covered in Time, Wall Street Journal, and many other publications. Is there something I need to change or edit so that it won’t be deleted again? ~2026-43852-0 (talk) 19:24, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
- Each entry on a disambiguation page should have exactly one blue link that leads to an article that describes the subject. You linked to K&L Gates which contains no mention of anyone named 'Bender'. older ≠ wiser 20:33, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
- I could have sworn I linked to the lawyer’s profile on the K&L Gates website. Sorry about that. I will resubmit with a correct link. ~2026-43852-0 (talk) 06:52, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) But that wouldn't be a reason to keep his link in the disambiguation page. Dab pages are a guide to information which already exists in Wikipedia articles, so if he isn't mentioned in a Wikipedia article he doesn't belong on that dab page. If and only if he is mentioned, adequately sourced, in the K&L Gates article, then he should be included in the dab page. PamD 08:57, 21 January 2026 (UTC)

Re-publish article with disambiguated title
Hi! Yesterday I edited the Bill Hill page to have the biography for an Alaskan educator/fisherman. Of course, this was a mistake on my part to put this under the ambiguous title "Bill Hill", this was my first edit. I resubmitted the content under Draft:Bill Hill (Alaskan), which hopefully is a better title for the page. I don't think I have the permissions to move this draft to the published namespace, but I was hoping you could? Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. NickCrewsAK (talk) 20:01, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- @NickCrewsAK: Please read the comments I left there. More importantly, please read WP:PAID. You're violating this site's terms of use by not disclosing the reasons why you're contributing this content. The notion that the Hill campaign can buy exposure on Wikipedia disgusts me. I have no doubt that many others feel the same way. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 04:42, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
Plugg music
Why did you revert the cut and paste move? You broke all the redirects. And most sources say "plugg" not "plugg music" per [[WP:COMMONNAME]] articles need to have the most common name used in sources. Also when you look at the page for moves it tells you to be bold and make the move yourself when its uncontroversial. Aradicus77 (talk) 19:32, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- Cutting and pasting is NOT the same as moving. If you think the article needs to be renamed, the process is at WP:RM. older ≠ wiser 19:40, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

- Anything in particular concern you? When reviewing changes to pages on my watchlist, I do not necessarily review anything beyond the specific edit. older ≠ wiser 17:43, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- I did a ctrl+f for "NES" on Nuno Espírito Santo and only found the string as a part of a word such as "Chinese" or a surname. Considering the entry I added was alphabetically adjacent to that one, I assumed consistency would be easy.
- Regardless, when reverting an addition for a particular reason, especially a relatively obscure reason, it's likely best to review the entire page for other entries which might not be in accordance with that reason. It's not difficult to go from your watchlist to the DAB page, really. ―"Ghost of Dan Gurney" (hihi) 17:49, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- Also, for what it's worth, the abbreviation "NES" for Nathaniel Erskine-Smith is verifiable. ―"Ghost of Dan Gurney" (hihi) 18:03, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- Then add it to the article. And no, I am not going to review an entire page when all I'm looking at are the specific changes. If other crap has been on a page for some time that is not immediately obvious, it's not anything I'm going to get too worked up about. And BTW, obscure is relative. Speedy deletion nomination of Khirbet Mudayna (disambiguation)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Khirbet Mudayna (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is:
- a disambiguation page with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" which lists only one extant Wikipedia page (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- a disambiguation page that lists zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- a redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" whose target is neither a disambiguation page nor page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. enbi [they/them] • [talk] 19:37, 8 February 2026 (UTC)

Fails WP:GNG. Fits WP:ITEXISTS.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. WidgetKid this is the way 18:40, 10 February 2026 (UTC)

- Not from the disambiguation page. Whether it is an appropriate source for the article itself, I don't know. I think fan-created content is not generally considered a reliable source.
- Also there is a difference between a generic representation of a swordsman in black vs. an entity named or consistently referred to as the Black Swordsman. older ≠ wiser 20:46, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- I have made a change to the Reaper: page itself with the game's description and citation, I think the term disambiguates to them within the rules now. Fan created content was not considered at all when making these edits, that should be kept elsewhere.
- The protagonist is consistently called "Black Swordsman", I have examples of it. Legitimatesuperhero (talk) 20:49, 1 March 2026 (UTC)

whats it like editing for long time
March 2026
Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to ROK (disambiguation), did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Wikisam240 (talk) 17:25, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Wikisam240 Please note that new posts go at the bottom of a talk page, not the top: posts at the top are likely not to be seen, so I have moved this one.
- It is not helpful, and rather rude, to use this templated message on the talk page of a very experienced editor of disambiguation pages in our encyclopedia. Note also that they have never edited the page you mention, the redirect ROK (disambiguation).
- Your latest edits to Rok showed an unfamiliarity with our policies and guidelines: you piped entries on the dab page, and you added a second blue link to a page. I have reverted those changes, while leaving your change to the opening of the dab page. On that point, I think I agree with you rather than Bkonrad: where there is a primary topic for one or more of the terms being disambiguated on a dab page, it is probably helpful to include the bolded link in the opening line as you did.
- But please do not Edit War. If you disagree with another editor's edits, discuss it with them calmly on their talk page or the talk page of the article involved. PamD 16:58, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
Panther
The term "panther" refers to different types of cats depending on where it's used. It's sort of like the difference between British English and American English. The article from panther should reflect that. And it used to, until you changed it. - Burner89751654 (talk) 18:30, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
