TFA
Thank you today for The Ecstatic, introduced (in 2016): "This article is about a 2009 album by American rapper Mos Def. It was his first album after changing labels and was viewed by journalists as a creative comeback, after two poorly received albums and his greater devotion to acting roles. It was titled after the Victor LaValle novel, whose titled Mos Def felt evoked his singular, unprecedented creative vision for the album. The Ecstatic has been noted for having an internationalist quality, sampling a range of global styles while including references to global politics and Islam in Mos Def's eccentric, conscious raps. It performed modestly sales-wise, but was a widespread critical success and named one of 2009's best albums by several publications."! -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:51, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
Discussion about "Label" or "distributor"
Hi Peter. In the recent discussion about "Release history" table, Andrew318 said that those are distributors, not labels. So if you have any further comments. Regards. 2001:D08:2910:FB3C:17E0:D15C:D305:FC85 (talk) 10:14, 10 July 2024 (UTC)

It is considered by writers to be one of rock music's greatest debut albums and an important influence on the 1970s punk rock movement and future generations of rock groups. Speedy deletion nomination of File:James Brown and Flames.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:James Brown and Flames.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the non-free content guidelines, please add the appropriate non-free use tag and rationale.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. REAL 💬 ⬆ 22:54, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
