Information icon Hello, I'm 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Gord Downie, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 06:51, 9 December 2025 (UTC)

Alright, sorry about that. I'll hopefully remember that next time I make an edit. Bryceahorvat (talk) 07:00, 9 December 2025 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:Playoff Bouch.png

Thanks for uploading File:Playoff Bouch.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This is an automated notification. Please refer to the page's history for further information. DatBot (talk) 00:31, 25 December 2025 (UTC)

I don't understand most of that so I'll just undo the change. Bryceahorvat (talk) 02:08, 25 December 2025 (UTC)

Information icon Please don't change the format of dates, as you did to Mattias Ekholm. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on either strong national ties to the topic or if the topic is tied to an armed forces. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.

For more information about how dates should be written on Wikipedia, please see this page.

If you have any questions about this, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Thank you. – sbaio 17:42, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

Your work on the 2025–26 Edmonton Oilers season article

Hey dude, we need to talk.

While I appreciate the work you try to do, I actually have to spend more time cleaning up after you, because they haven't been written correctly. The team's player and goalie stats, I'm almost always needing to correct.

Before you commit to your edits, please be a little more thorough in proofreading them first.

Thank you,

Russ Jericho (talk) 12:27, 5 February 2026 (UTC)

alright, sorry for the errors HallowedAce (talk) 21:15, 5 February 2026 (UTC)
Please STOP adding the sorting for Plus/Minus when add/update the player statistics. None of the previous season articles have ever needed them and work perfectly fine without it. Look at the previous seasonal articles. They have been mostly my work for years. There's no call for them. Russ Jericho (talk) 22:32, 28 March 2026 (UTC)
If I may, I have seen several other team pages with the sorting feature, why can't it be on this one? HallowedAce (talk) 18:15, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
That may be true for Anaheim, or Detroit, but some teams don't even have it, such as Florida, Tampa Bay, Seattle, St. Louis...
Whoever oversees Toronto's does something completely wacky. The Oilers article's been overseen by me now for the last 4 years now (including this season) and never has needed them and they sort just fine without them. Russ Jericho (talk) 01:06, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

Information icon Hi HallowedAce! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Matthew Schaefer and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. netstars22 (talk) 14:37, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
