Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), broadly construed, including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days in order to make edits related to two subtopics: (1) Indian military history, or (2) social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Speedy deletion nomination of Cadet College Swat

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Cadet College Swat requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G15 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it exhibits one or more of the following signs which indicate that the page could only plausibly have been generated by large language models (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology) and would have been removed by any reasonable human review:
- Communication intended for the user: This may include collaborative communication (e.g., "Here is your Wikipedia article on..."), knowledge-cutoff disclaimers (e.g., "Up to my last training update ..."), self-insertion (e.g., "as a large language model"), and phrasal templates (e.g., "Smith was born on [Birth Date].")
- Implausible non-existent references: This may include external links that are dead on arrival, ISBNs with invalid checksums, and unresolvable DOIs. Since humans can make typos and links may suffer from link rot, a single example should not be considered definitive. Editors should use additional methods to verify whether a reference truly does not exist.
- Nonsensical citations: This may include citations of incorrect temporality (e.g a source from 2020 being cited for a 2022 event), DOIs that resolve to completely unrelated content (e.g., a paper on a beetle species being cited for a computer science article), and citations that attribute the wrong author or publication.
Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and output must be carefully checked. Pages created using them that did not undergo human review may be deleted at any time.
If you think these signs were incorrectly identified and you assert that you did carefully check the content, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Additionally – if you would like to create an article but find creating new encyclopedia content yourself difficult, please share this with other editors at the Teahouse, and they may be able to help. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your legitimate contributions. JTtheOG (talk) 22:10, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for pointing this out. I would like to clarify that the Cadet College Swat article was not entirely created by a large language model (LLM). Most of the content was written and compiled through my own research and drafting, although I may not have cited sufficient independent and reliable sources in the first version. I acknowledge this shortcoming and will work on improving the article by adding verifiable references from reputable publications. My intention is to build an encyclopedic and well-sourced entry in line with Wikipedia’s content policies. Haseeb Manj (talk) 23:05, 24 September 2025 (UTC)

Explicatory streching on the En:Sikh Empire Mapping without following criterial guideline and many veracious exaggeration even after not reaching the consensus on its respective talk Page at En:Talk:Sikh Empire (Need your helping hand for such miserable recency):
Hey listen me dear @Haseeb ManjThis is seem to an existential issue to viciously mislead the historicity since Sikh Empire never crossed the embankment of Peshawar and then how they reach Afghan seem quite contradictory isnt it. If you want it looked at I suggest taking the concern to Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard, asking whether the sources used in creating the map are reliable. Though considering you are not an Extended Confirmed user, and you make reference to social/ethnic groups of South Asia, it may get thrown out per Wikipedia:Contentious topics/South Asia. If you try to edit in this topic area without be Extended Confirmed, you are likely to have topic bans applied, if not be banned from the project
- and if you looke this issue with same conspicuous lens, you find they are on some panicle mission, for creating factual distress between all of our user, so I would likely to appeal for your kindheartered flatulence to resolve this issue as it was his third attempt to distort history of Sikh Empire and similar voice was raise on the Wiki commons, which you can see this image will be vanquished in few working our as someone nominated it for violating copyright patency WP:C from the post of C by some afghan nationalist agenda, which we need to counter before it's too lateDr.Hazelkaurtoor (talk) 00:32, 8 March 2026 (UTC)

Hi, Haseeb Manj. Thanks for patrolling new pages. I've declined your deletion request for a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Please take a moment to read the new tutorial for patrollers, criteria for speedy deletion, and particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion or proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion.
