Blocked as a sockpuppet
Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice:
{{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

- Well, well, well...What does this mean for all their previous edits? They managed to cause major disruption at Gun show loophole last year, and the article lost it's GA status over it. DN (talk) 03:24, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- The cleanup effort will take a long time. I think notifying WP:AN of the block is a good idea. What do you think? SuperPianoMan9167 (talk) 03:28, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- Sure? I have not had much experience with these types of clean-ups, but I certainly would like to help out anyway I can. Cheers. DN (talk) 03:30, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- How you can help: mass-revert their changes to articles that aren't reverts, and
start tagging all their redirects for G5.Don't do this actually, there are 24,000 of them, if they are going to be mass-deleted they don't need to be tagged to do this SuperPianoMan9167 (talk) 05:16, 11 April 2026 (UTC) Twinkle helps. SuperPianoMan9167 (talk) 03:43, 11 April 2026 (UTC)- Something like User:Writ Keeper/Scripts/massRollback would make it even faster. 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) (contributions) 03:47, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- That seems like a handy script. Anyone here have rollback? TarnishedPathtalk 03:51, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- I do, but I believe non-admins rollbackers have a rate limit of 100 per minute and that userscript isn't perfect (shift clicking to highlight all inbetween appears to be broken). It would better to ask an admin who can assign their reverts as bot rollback to bypass the rate limit to do it instead. I'm also going off to sleep. There might be better (non broken) ones at Wikipedia:User_scripts/List#Rollback/reverting. 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) (contributions) 03:56, 11 April 2026 (UTC)

- Please don't do this. If an admin wants to delete all those redirects, well, fine I guess, but there's no point in you spending all that time forcing some admin to spend even more time deleting or declining the CSD requests. -- asilvering (talk) 05:12, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah, I started having second thoughts after I discovered there were 24,000 redirects. SuperPianoMan9167 (talk) 05:15, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- @Asilvering, they currently have the temporary account IP viewer permission. Is that something they would be able to use even thought they are blocked given its usage doesn't require any editing? TarnishedPathtalk 05:23, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- @TarnishedPath: Nope. foundation:Policy:Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy says
Users who are sitewide blocked from editing a Wikimedia project will lose access to temporary account IP addresses on that project.

- I've just gone through and struck their comments on all open AFDs. I've closed one of the AFDs they nominated as there was no support and I've notified a relisting admin of another AFD they nominated. In general I would revert every edit to all articles, where there has been no subsequent edits with no regard to the content of their edits. TarnishedPathtalk 03:31, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- They also created a bazillion redirects that need to be G5'd. SuperPianoMan9167 (talk) 03:32, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- Perhaps raise it at WP:AN. TarnishedPathtalk 03:36, 11 April 2026 (UTC)

G5 and WP:BANREVERT
In the hopes that pulling this into a separate section makes this more obvious to patrolling admins and taggers: there is no good reason to G5/revert the vast majority of the edits made by this account, and doing so is both counterproductive and a massive waste of everyone's time. At the ANI thread, some editors have pointed out that some of the redirects created from this account should be deleted, and we can handle that by a batch-delete without CSD tagging etc as an interim step. Taggers: please go back to building the encyclopedia and don't let this sockpuppet account waste any more of your time and energy than it already has. (courtesy ping Moneytrees, ScottishFinnishRadish, as other admins with significant familiarity with this case.) -- asilvering (talk) 20:35, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
