Hello, Jcshy
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Joseywales1961, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Aidan Dowling, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
- Edit the page
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}} - Click the button.
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Joseywales1961}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

@Joseywales1961: Hi JW, yeah that's fair enough - did have the suspicion that there'd be an issue with the article due to him only making semi-professional appearances so far but couldn't locate the criteria for a footballer's article! Joshua (talk) 19:42, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Joshua, I wouldn't worry too much. We have all created articles on footballers that didn't meet the guidelines as it can be unclear for newcomers as to what topics are good to include and which ones aren't. You can find an explanation of which footballers meet requirements at WP:NFOOTBALL which is closely linked to WP:FPL. Hope this helps, please message me or ask at WT:FOOTY if unsure. Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Joe Hilton (footballer, born 1999) article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 11:29, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
