User talk:KLearyBeClear
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welcome!
Hello, KLearyBeClear, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, which will be reviewed by other editors. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Wikipedia and copyright
Hello KLearyBeClear! Your additions to Draft:List of Opportunity Colleges and Universities in the United States have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license—to request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § Licensing.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 21:14, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
Edit requests
Hi, KLeary. Appreciate the disclosure and willingness to work within Wikipedia guideilnes on paid editing. I will go through some of your requests but just a friendly suggestion to try and keep these shorter. You posted a lot of requests in a single edit summary which could cause some editors to shy away from reviewing it as a WP:WALLOFTEXT. May I suggest doing future edits in smaller chunks? Not a requirement, just a suggestion. CNMall41 (talk) 18:49, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hello CNMall41, thank you so much for that wonderful feedback. I very much appreciate it. I will certainly make sure future edits are done in smaller chunks. In the mean time, I am grateful for your willingness to go through some of my edit requests. Please let me know if there are any questions I can answer about my proposed changes. Draft Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education (Copyright)
Hello @KLearyBeClear
Note: your additions to Draft:Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education were removed in whole or in part, as they appeared to include content without evidence that the source material had been released by its owner under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (eg CC BY-NC-SA content cannot be reused on Wikipedia because WP requires content that is freely reusable for any purpose.) MmeMaigret (talk) 17:47, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you for this feedback. Who at Wikipedia do I reach out to to confirm this source material has been released by its owner under a suitably free and compatible copyright license? The Deputy Executive Editor of the Carnegie Classifications can help confirm what's needed for this. KLearyBeClear (talk) 21:25, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
