Do not feed trolls

Hi, don't tag pages of sockpuppets, as checkusers usually do it. In addition, you should refrain from tagging per WP:DENY. Please leave the tagging to the CU and clerks, as they will know if the socks are supposed to be tagged or not, and if they are trolls. -- Wesoree (talk·contribs) 22:54, 7 May 2023 (UTC)

Thank you for telling me. LDM2003 (talk) 22:57, 7 May 2023 (UTC)

A belated welcome!

The welcome may be belated, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, LDM2003! I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may still benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome! -- Shadow of the Starlit Sky 01:31, 28 May 2023 (UTC)

Also, you might consider joining Wikiproject Lithuania and the Counter-Vandalism Unit as you seem to be pretty interested in Lithuania and antivandalism stuff. I myself am a member of both Wikiprojects. In case you're curious, you can read how I ended up editing a bunch of Lithuania-related stuff despite being seemingly having no personal connection to the subject matter at User:Shadow of the Starlit Sky/Why the heck am I editing pages about Lithuania? Well, here's my answer. (TL:DR; it all started with a copyedit.) Again, happy editing! -- Shadow of the Starlit Sky 01:37, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
Thank you for welcoming me. I like to undo vandal edits and I don't often look at the recent changes on Wikipedia. I will join the Counter-Vandalism Unit when I need to. LDM2003 (talk) 19:55, 28 May 2023 (UTC)

I think you might want to get your talk page semi protected.

That is, if that is OK with you - I've been noticing that a certain LTA keeps on vandalizing it. -- Prodraxistalkcontribs (she/her) 16:56, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

@Prodraxis I want to, because several Bulgarian IP addresses and sock users attack me most often. See the revisions: (diff 1, diff 2, diff 3, diff 4). LDM2003 (talk) 17:02, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
Done. If there are more problem after the current protection expires, feel free to drop me a line for longer duration. HTH. El_C 17:20, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Television in Lithuania, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Delfi. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

A request for clarification of an edit summary

Can you clarify your edit summary in this edit, namely "The link was in a long time in the article and he didn't spam it before"? Firstly, what is the relevance of how long the link has been there? The fact that something unacceptable has been around for a long time doesn't somehow make it acceptable, does it? Secondly, what does it mean to say that "he" (presumably the editor who posted the link into the article) "didn't spam it before"? Hadn't posted the same spam link before? Hadn't posted other spam before? Or what? JBW (talk) 19:42, 17 August 2023 (UTC)

The Lyngsat-address.com link was added 12 years ago, before a LTA started spamming the https://tnh.gob.hn/ link from the same tv station on this article, but not from Lyngsat-address.com LDM2003 talk to me! 19:53, 17 August 2023 (UTC)

@Cyberwolf434344 Thanks, he previously put hoaxes on the MTV Brand New (Italian TV channel) article using several Bulgarian IP addresses (diff 1, diff 2, diff 3, diff 4, diff 5). Now it has probably travelled to the Czech Republic because the IP address is not a proxy and is connected to a mobile provider. LDM2003 talk to me! 15:02, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
@Cyberwolf434344: The vandal appears to have used another hotspot roaming in Bulgaria from the Czech Republic. Might need to protect this page from sockpuppetry. LDM2003 talk to me! 12:25, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I have revently noticed that you have made an edit to Kidz Bop that was unsourced. You changed the brands owner from "RT Industries" to "Concord Records". I suggest you add your source to the page just in case people don't think you have bad intentions. Thank you for understanding - Winter WiinterU (talk) 23:09, 8 November 2023 (UTC)

Actually I was reverting vandalism, because 6ix9ine is an American rapper and does not own Kidz Bop https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kidz_Bop&diff=prev&oldid=1183679927 --LDM2003 talk to me! 23:37, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
I understand that. It's just that the owner has always been listed as RT Industries (until several people vandalized it) and I was confused why you changed it from 6ix9ine to Concord Records instead of changing it back to RT Industries. Again, you may be correct, it's just hard to know which one is correct when you don't list a reliable source. WiinterU (talk) 23:52, 8 November 2023 (UTC)

Moving pages

Hi @LDM2003 could you do the same page moving you did for Fox (Portuguese TV channel) for these two pages? Star Comedy (Portuguese TV channel) should be moved to Fox Comedy (Portuguese TV channel); Star Movies (Portuguese TV channel) should be moved to Fox Movies (Portuguese TV channel). In Portugal Fox hasn't rebranded into Star yet, even it will be very soon. 80.181.214.218 (talk) 10:15, 29 November 2023 (UTC)

Done. If you see the IP address from editing history on Fox Movies (Portuguese TV channel), I was accidentally logged out due to login session expiration. --LDM2003 talk to me! 10:39, 29 November 2023 (UTC)

About a user

How are you? I come from Wikipedia in Spanish to ask you a favor, if you can report the user Mario98632 since his account is to vandalize, but he tries to "look good with others" by posing as a reverter. He and his puppet accounts have already been blocked on Wikipedia in Spanish. I'm talking to you because I can't find the page to file a complaint. Huge greeting. --FosforitoFernandez2001 (talk) 04:07, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

Temporary account IP viewer granted

The temporary account IP viewer logo, composed of the Wikipedia globe with a user and an IP address

Hello, LDM2003. Per your request, your account has been granted temporary-account-viewer rights. You are now able to reveal the IP addresses of individuals using temporary accounts that are not visible to the general public. This is very sensitive information that is only to be used to aid in anti-abuse workflows. Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Temporary account IP viewer for more information on this user right. It is important to remember:

  • You must not share IP address data with someone who does not have the same access permissions unless disclosure is permissible as per guidelines listed at Foundation:Policy:Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy.
  • Access must not be used for political control, to apply pressure on editors, or as a threat against another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to investigate a temporary user. Note that using multiple temporary accounts is not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of policies (for example, block or ban evasion).

It is also important to note that the following actions are logged for others to see:

  • When a user accepts the preference that enables or disables IP reveal for their account.
  • Revealing an IP address of a temporary account.
  • Listing the temporary accounts that are associated with one or more IP addresses (using the CIDR notation format).

Remember, even if a user is violating policy, avoid revealing personal information if possible. Use temporary account usernames rather than disclosing IP addresses directly, or give information such as same network/not same network or similar. If you do not want the user right anymore then please ask me or another administrator and it will be removed for you. You may also voluntarily give up access at any time by visiting Special:Preferences. Happy editing! — rsjaffe 🗣️ 22:05, 3 November 2025 (UTC)

3RR

Please be mindful of WP:3RR, even when reverting vandalism/sockpuppetry. In some cases the vandalism is obvious and multiple reverts are no big deal, but in the case of MTV Global you added the disputed content yourself, so you would have been better leaving the reversion to others. And of course WP:RFPP is here to help, ideally before it gets to that point. – bradv 01:07, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
