- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 12:05, 24 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello LbnSchoolResearcher. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:LbnSchoolResearcher. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=LbnSchoolResearcher|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 09:30, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:LbnSchoolResearcher, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=LbnSchoolResearcher|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. bonadea contributions talk 07:07, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

You still have not adequately responded or taken action to the inquiry regarding your appearance as an undisclosed paid editor. If you make any additional edits without complying, you may be blocked from editing. bonadea contributions talk 07:46, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- Response to Paid Editing Concern
- Hello, thank you for your message. I confirm that I am **not receiving any financial compensation** for my contributions to this article or my involvement with Stars College. My edits are made in a personal capacity and are based on publicly available, verifiable sources. I respect Wikipedia’s neutrality policies and have no intention of violating its guidelines. Please let me know if any further clarification is needed. LbnSchoolResearcher (talk) 08:00, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- Using the reply button breaks header and other formatting; I've fixed this. What is your association with the College? "Personal capacity" is very vague. Are you employed by the College? A student? 331dot (talk) 08:40, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- I am a school researcher based in Lebanon and have a general interest in documenting educational institutions in the region. I came across Stars College through public sources and news coverage, and noticed that it holds recognized accreditations. I do not have any paid or professional affiliation with the school, nor am I acting on their behalf. My intention is simply to contribute verifiable, neutral, and encyclopedic content to Wikipedia based on publicly available information. LbnSchoolResearcher (talk) 08:44, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- We usually interpret "associated with" to mean that a person is employed by or has a connection to the subject(paid or unpaid). If you just came across this college, you aren't connected to it.
- While it doesn't seem like you are associated with the college, if you are editing as part of your job duties as a researcher, you are a paid editor. It does not require specific payment for contributions. 331dot (talk) 08:48, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- Okay now i understand, so am i allowed to post this article or no? LbnSchoolResearcher (talk) 08:53, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- This is a separate issue from whether or not the draft will be accepted. Wikipedia is not a place to just tell about an organization and its offerings, you need to summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage choose on their own to say about it. You may continue to work on the draft if you have sources that provide significant coverage of the school, and once you have change your disclosure to reflect your job as a researcher. 331dot (talk) 09:04, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the clarification. I now better understand that editing in the context of my research work qualifies as paid editing under Wikipedia’s terms, even if not commissioned by the subject. I will update my user page to reflect this accordingly.
- Regarding the article, I appreciate your guidance on the standards for notability and sourcing. I will continue working on the draft and ensure that any content is based solely on significant, independent, and reliable secondary sources. My aim is to contribute neutrally and in full alignment with Wikipedia’s policies.
- If there's anything further I should adjust in my disclosure or the draft format, I’d be grateful for your advice. LbnSchoolResearcher (talk) 09:19, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello, LbnSchoolResearcher, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as LbnScl (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 15:37, 15 May 2025 (UTC)

- Bonadea While they can't remove reviews from the draft itself, I believe they can remove them from this page, as with most other content. 331dot (talk) 08:41, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
