You're invited to the Mentorship noticeboard

Hi, Leonidlednev. You are cordially invited to the brand new Wikipedia:Mentorship noticeboard. I get the impression sometimes that we mentors are each toiling in our own cubbyhole or hamster wheel, quietly answering mentee questions with little to no interaction with other mentors. I think we have a lot to share and learn from each other, and I know it will make me feel better just having the opportunity to interact with you and other mentors there, and I hope it will for you, too. Looking forward to hearing your feedback. Please take the § Survey when you get there! Mathglot (talk) 03:00, 11 July 2026 (UTC)

Question from Numinousdei (06:35, 11 July 2026)

Hello. I am an alumnus writting about a professor I had about 8 years ago. How do I disclouse a COI? --Numinousdei (talk) 06:35, 11 July 2026 (UTC)

@Numinousdei: First, add a {{user COI|[draft name]}} to your user page. Next, create the draft using the article wizard. However, it is generally discouraged to write about subjects you are connected to. In solidarity, Leonidlednev (T, C, L) 21:52, 11 July 2026 (UTC)

Question from Boi George the Stereokiller (14:15, 19 July 2026)

I have citation from recognized platform in my country but my article was rejected how do I know what sources is good --Boi George the Stereokiller (talk) 14:15, 19 July 2026 (UTC)

@Boi George the Stereokiller: The sources you added aren't actually that reliable when covering biographies. Also, you have a conflict of interest that you need to disclose. Finally, the draft looks like it was written by a large language model. Their use is not allowed when drafting articles with a few exceptions. In solidarity, Leonidlednev (T, C, L) 01:29, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
can you guide me on how to draft a proper article with the right steps Boi George the Stereokiller (talk) 08:07, 20 July 2026 (UTC)

Question from Roundereds2 (20:31, 2 August 2026)

Hi there! Just a quick question on ship classes. In a page of a ship class, the title usually comes with a hypen (e.g.) Vittorio Veneto-class

Just below it, some pages say similar like “The Littorio class, also known as the Vittorio Veneto class”

Does it need a hypen or am I getting it wrong? --Roundereds2 (talk) 20:31, 2 August 2026 (UTC)

@Roundereds2: I am not that experienced in that topic area, but I think only the article title should have the hyphen. In solidarity, Leonidlednev (T, C, L) 18:44, 5 August 2026 (UTC)
thanks! Roundereds2 (talk) 09:47, 7 August 2026 (UTC)
