Hello, I'm MrOllie. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 11:20, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. MrOllie (talk) 13:56, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your feedback. I understand the concerns regarding external links and appreciate the importance of maintaining Wikipedia’s standards.
- However, I would like to clarify that the Sensofar document I cited was not added as a promotional link, but as a reliable source of technical information relevant to the content being contributed. The reference supports specific metrology-related claims—such as the role of PSI in measuring nanometer-scale roughness and the characterization of bump height, coplanarity, and CMP pad uniformity—which are directly relevant to Front-End and Back-End processes in semiconductor manufacturing.
- The intention was to provide verifiable, technical backing for otherwise hard-to-substantiate industry-specific statements. I am not affiliated with the company, and I agree that if a better third-party source is available, it should be preferred.
- I’m happy to discuss further on the talk page or consider alternative sources if needed. Thank you again for your vigilance and for helping to ensure the integrity of Wikipedia content. Metrology.editor (talk) 14:21, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Wafer (electronics), you may be blocked from editing. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 07:21, 3 June 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Phase shift interferometry

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Phase shift interferometry, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Cactus🌵 spiky ouch 10:34, 9 July 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Frost. I noticed that in this edit to Sensofar, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Frost 11:36, 12 September 2025 (UTC)

Hello Metrology.editor. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Metrology.editor. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Metrology.editor|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Seraphimblade Talk to me 00:23, 13 September 2025 (UTC)

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Metrology.editor, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Metrology.editor|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. MrOllie (talk) 23:28, 15 September 2025 (UTC)

- While I have declined this request, as the article was not quite promotional enough to qualify as G11, it is very clear, between your link spamming and writing this article, that you have a conflict of interest regarding this organization. If you are editing as a duty of employment or internship (even if your duty is not specifically to edit Wikipedia), or otherwise have a financial stake in this organization, you must make the mandatory disclosures. In any case, you must follow the conflict of interest policy, including not directly editing or creating mainspace articles in regards to your COI. For the proposed new article, now at Draft:Sensofar, you may request review by articles for creation so that an editor without a COI can review it. Do not return the article to or recreate the article in mainspace yourself. Seraphimblade Talk to me 00:28, 13 September 2025 (UTC)
