Re: Up for adoption
Yes, hello Mister Hockey and welcome to Wikipedia. First of all, yes I am a Blue Jays fan, as well as a diehard Maple Leafs fan, so really we shouldn't have any issues unless our two teams meet in the finals. But anyways, the best resource there is on Wikipedia for ice hockey editing is the Ice Hockey WikiProject, that is where most of the users who are heavy into hockey editing congregate and discuss how to go forward with things. I would highly recommend joining up with that. But yes, I am willing to "adopt" you and feel free to ask for any help you need. Probably the best advice I can give you to start off is, find something on Wikipedia that you enjoy doing but if or when it becomes a chore, don't force yourself to keep doing it... that's how users get fed up and usually leave. Are there any more specific questions you have for me at the moment? Croat Canuck Say hello or just talk 18:31, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- Its no problem. Oh by the way, if your thinking of staying for awhile, I would suggest putting at least something on your user page, just so you don't have your name redlinked everywhere you go. See Wikipedia:User page. Croat Canuck Say hello or just talk 08:32, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Well I can see you already found the Baseball WikiProject, so there's no need to answer your question. Yeah that save that Accardo blew is the final nail in the coffin, and many nails it needed... there's always next year, and besides, NHL training camp opens this week anyways. Duncan Mackay
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Duncan Mackay article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."
You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. -- JamesTeterenko 22:30, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Hello there. Glad to have you aboard. We are a fairly new group who have come together to expand Saskatchewan articles, and I have been amazed at how many Saskatchewan sports teams / sports venues, and athletes there are and have been.
