New to this!

Pretty cool to get to add to human knowledge! I'm mostly here for space exploration organizations and people as its what I like to follow in my free time. Please do let me know how to be better, I'm in the process of reading wikipedia's documentation for new users but thought I'd jump in straight away! Information icon Hello, I'm Jlwoodwa. An article that you recently made, MoonDAO, seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or another application using such technology). Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and output must be carefully checked. In particular, you should check each citation, and fictitious references must be removed. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. jlwoodwa (talk) 05:34, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of MoonDAO

Hello Space.tracker.nerd,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged MoonDAO for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Hello JBchrch, Thanks for letting me know. I'm fairly new to wikipedia and am still finding my way around. I'll go ahead and do my best at leaving a note on your talk page. I would like to contest the deletion and perhaps give it another go for this page as I think it is incredibly noteworthy. Space.tracker.nerd (talk) 20:45, 13 August 2025 (UTC)

Aaron Charles Newman moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Aaron Charles Newman, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. SPOOKYDICAE👻 17:02, 10 October 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for the feedback and moving to draftspace! How many more reliable, independent sources do you think should be needed for approval? The independent sources confirm his spaceflight as a research subject, his expedition to the bottom of the ocean, etc. The general notability guideline seems that I could make the arguement that its ready for publication now. Appreciate the feedback! I'm still learning. Space.tracker.nerd (talk) 05:24, 15 October 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Blue Origin NS-36 (October 11)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Shocksingularity was:
Thank you for your submission, but the subject of this article already exists in Wikipedia. You can find it and improve it at Blue Origin NS-36 instead.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
Shocksingularity (talk) 20:27, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
Roger all. I created the article before but the other user got theirs approved first. All good! I added a few items to the current published article. Space.tracker.nerd (talk) 05:26, 15 October 2025 (UTC)

Hello, and good to "meet" you

Someone as obviously interested in the history of spaceflight, and then taking the step to join Wikipedia's spaceflight community, is a rare combination. Thanks for your contributions here, and if you feel like I do, you are lucky to be adding to this important collection. Just keep away from any AI editing, AI written articles should be deloaded on first sight, Wikipedia is not the place for that. Your article on Aaron Newman is an example of an important topic, and you will find you'll have to have a thick skin in Wikipedia discussions - sometimes the obvious is challenged, you don't really understand why, and just have to run the race. Randy Kryn (talk) 12:29, 12 December 2025 (UTC)

Thank you Randy Kryn, Im happy to help. I appreciate all insights you have shared! Space.tracker.nerd (talk) 19:36, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
Hey Randy, I am working on two new articles that I currently have in draft. Would you mind taking a look at both Draft:Trent Tresch and Draft:Shawna Pandya. The first is much more along but having an extra set of eyes on both would be really nice. Also is there any other way I can ask the community to support my efforts in creating new articles besides messaging people directly? Thank you! Space.tracker.nerd (talk) 11:22, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
Hi, and lucky I saw this, still have your talkpage on my Watchlist. Better to leave a WP:PING. The articles seem okay and well sourced, thanks for working on them although creating pages isn't my main "thing" here. They do need categories. One way to alert interested editors would be to leave a note on the talk pages of WikiProjects, in this case Wikipedia:WikiProject Spaceflight. That should gain more like-minded space editors to become aware of your work and articles. Enjoy space (where no one can hear you type)! Randy Kryn (talk) 12:18, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
All good things to note! Will follow your suggestions. Appreciate your time and direction. Space.tracker.nerd (talk) 13:45, 25 March 2026 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Thanks for your article!

Hi again. I spent a bit of time on copyediting your article, including changing the name, after finding that it did not match the sources. I had a couple more comments and suggestions, that I have just written on the article talk page. One other thing to remember, when creating a new article, is to look for where other articles may link in to it, firstly by looking at people or topics mentioned in the article and create wikilinks to the article (which I have now done), and also, you can just search for the string, in double quotes, in Wikipedia, to see if there are any other mentions where you could wikilink the article - this is so that it doesn't get tagged as an WP:ORPHAN. I'll leave the rest to you. Thanks again for your contribution. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 05:25, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for the insight and edits! Space.tracker.nerd (talk) 01:22, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Blue Origin NS-36

Hello, Space.tracker.nerd. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Blue Origin NS-36".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 20:41, 11 April 2026 (UTC)

Hi Liz, yes this is fine. After I created the page another editor created their own version and made it live right before I could. So mine should have been deleted long ago. Apologies if I should have done this and didn't. Space.tracker.nerd (talk) 07:29, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
