I have made request 2 minutes ago.it will take 2days.I hope this would be our last move. Ajitsinghbhagat (talk) 16:18, 14 August 2025 (UTC)
what is happening? Did it get rejected? Spitfire121 (talk) 08:21, 15 August 2025 (UTC)
Yes bro, he is saying similar article is already available. Ajitsinghbhagat (talk) 08:26, 15 August 2025 (UTC)
Wow. I am so tired of this thing. They don't have any issues with creating new pages when American companies merge of demerge. But for some reason, there is always a new excuse to reject JioStar. Spitfire121 (talk) 08:29, 15 August 2025 (UTC)

That is not true, since a google search for Jiostar would lead you to hundreds of very recent articles which refer to the company as Jiostar. On the other hand, a search for Dinsey Star either leads to very few articles from 2024 mentioning the name of the company as such or mostly to totally unrelated articles about actors starring in Disney movies.

When the company calls itself Jiostar, when all news sources refer to it as Jiostar, when the audiences that this company serves know it as Jiostar, I don't understand why the wikipedia article has to be called Disney Star.

NOTE:- JioStar operates only in India & There is no company named Disney Star now in the world. so what's the point of keeping Disney Star article

first of all you can move the Draft:JioStar Draft article to JioStar main space and start redirect from Disney Star to JioStar so there will be no similar article with separate name.

Information icon Please do not introduce links to draft articles in actual articles, as you did to Disney Star. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 15:07, 16 August 2025 (UTC)

Civility, MEAT, and Bludgeoning

Based on your discussion above ("Mission JioStar"), it appears you are engaging in WP:MEAT. What is your connection to the other user? Also, this is a gentle warning about your bludgeoning at Talk:Disney+ Hotstar. Let the discussion run. CNMall41 (talk) 07:13, 15 October 2025 (UTC)

assume good faith. I have no connection with the other user. We happened to stumble upon a topic months ago where we both happened to agree with each other. We haven't had any discussion with each other since that initial discussion on the new page for JioStar.
If you think the 72nd largest company in the world would be deploying 2 random users to rebrand their service on wikipedia, you think too highly of yourself. If they were concerned about it, they would have achieved it some way or the other months ago. Spitfire121 (talk) 07:57, 16 October 2025 (UTC)

Information icon Please remember to assume good faith when dealing with other editors, which you did not do on Talk:Disney+ Hotstar. You will need to be more civil. This is not acceptable. CNMall41 (talk) 07:37, 16 October 2025 (UTC)

assume good faith. I only pointed to the ignorance of the user about the ground realities in countries where he doesn't live. He should learn more about stuff before making assertive comments on them. Spitfire121 (talk) 08:01, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
I find your comments insulting. I am well aware of the material being discussed. Wikipedia has policies and guidelines that need to be followed. This has nothing to do with the different regions of where people reside. Trailblazer101🔥 (discuss · contribs) 15:49, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
If you were aware, you wouldn't say jio brand doesn't have any long term significance. Spitfire121 (talk) 20:45, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
JioStar and JioHotstar do not. I am not referring to the other Jio products, because they are not at issue here. Stop twisting my words around. Trailblazer101🔥 (discuss · contribs) 21:05, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
That is a stupid justification that is not used for any article anywhere else on wikipedia.
Warner Bros Discovery has a page called Warner Bros Discovery, not Warner Bros.
HBO Max changed its page title to Max and then to HBO Max again, to reflect the ground realities.
Paramount Skydance Corporation has a page called Paramount Skydance, not Paramount Global.
And in the case of JioHotstar, Disney doesn't even have anything to do with this service.
It was called Hotstar before the merger with Disney Plus. No one had any problem with changing it to Disney Plus Hotstar when they merged. Now you suddenly have a problem with changing it to JioHotstar.
How is it violoting WP:COMMONNAME when neither the news media nor the general public refers to it as Disney Plus Hotstar? Spitfire121 (talk) 05:00, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
Warner Bros. Discovery is not commonly called "Warner Bros.", that is Warner Bros. Entertainment. Paramount Global is the predecessor of Paramount Skydance, not a common name for that new entity. "Max" and "HBO Max" are literally the same service with a temporary rebrand that did not gain much traction and probably should not have been moved, but was. That has no bearing on this matter, and your misunderstanding of these unrelated corporate naming schemes holds no weight on this matter. JioHotstar and JioStar are new entities separate from the former Disney+ Hotstar and Disney Star, and should not be treated as straightforward rebrandings because they are not. "Hotstar" and "JioHotstar" are not proven to be the common name for Disney+ Hotstar. I don't know how many times we have to explain this to you or others.
