Upcoming film RfDs

Hey Steel, there are 19 "upcoming film" titles you nominated at the WP:Redirects for discussion/Log/2025 December 31 page. Do you want to respond to the Keep argument, otherwise I can close them as No consensus, and you can nominate them later, like after 3 months? Jay 💬 05:46, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

@Jay: "No consensus" works. Quite frankly, my desire to dispute any "keep" argument in those discussions is nil after doing so time and time again over the years ... to a point where I don't dispute any opposing views (but also try to time the nomination for a low chance of any opposing views) unless they have absolutely nothing to do with WP:UFILM, and I know any bundled nomination of those turns into a WP:TRAINWRECK (and this why I don't do bundled nominations anymore). 3-12 months after a "keep" or "no consensus" close is traditionally when I check them again, so no quorum here. Thanks. Steel1943 (talk) 12:54, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
There were no further comments since the relist, but since the time of the above conversation, Tavix has voted Delete on all. So I'll abstain. Jay 💬 20:16, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

retirement

I noticed I haven't seen you around much and just read the retirement notice on your user page. I hope you are well and that you enjoy the time away. If it suits you and you ever jump back in, it will be a welcome routine return. I've learned a lot from you and appreciate your contributions here. Yes, Steel is a pillar of RfD, and will be missed. See you after 5 years once you are sorted! Jay 💬 08:16, 10 April 2026 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Destubathon of the Americas

You are invited to participate in the Destubathon of the Americas, a contest/editathon which will run from May 1 to May 31. The goal is to destub as many of our 475,000+ stubs for the Americas (from Alaska down to Chile) as possible. A good chance to have fun in expanding many of our old stale stubs and win up to £2000 ($2680) in Amazon vouchers for expanding stub articles. Sign up in the Contestants/participants section on the contest page if interested. Even if not interested in prizes you are still warmly welcome to participate in it as an editathon! Hopefully we can achieve something significant in the month of May together! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:36, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
