Please fix your "correction" on the Istro-Romanian Language wikipage
The term "rumârește" is not used by any speaker of the istro-romanian language. In addition, the term "vlășește" was never recorded by any istro-romanian speaker and is clearly of Romanian origin due the position of the "ă" which is even more obvious considering the cognate in istro-romanian is in fact vlåški (the name which you removed). This is even more ridiculous considering the suffix -ește also doesn't exist in istro-romanian and again is from Romanian.
The istro-romanian speakers have no unified name for their language. The closed to what we have are Vlåški which only southern speaker use allong with names based of their village names. Istro-Romanian-Lover (talk) 14:50, 22 January 2026 (UTC)

Hey
Salut, ce faci? You may or not remember me, I was known as Adigabrek at some point. You originally let me know about the standart offer. After years, I decided to take it. By the way, I started learning Romanian. I don't think I have mentioned this before, but I have ancestry from Romania (Bazargic) on my mother's side. Elders used to scold us kids as "you naughty kopil", now I know what copil means. As far as I can tell, they were Turks from Romania, since they're all Muslims, though my mom isn't sure herself. It's blurry, but I remember they also spoke Romanian and I found it very hard to understand when they spoke Turkish. It's a bit confusing. Angel Eyes ● 💬 21:12, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, yes I remember you. Great to see you back on track. That's pretty cool, as far as I know Romanians and Circassians barely had any interaction due to coincidence (as you left Dobruja, we came in), so it seems like an uncommon case.
- Feel free to contact me if you need any advice or clarification on Wikipedia's functioning, in case you've gotten rusty these last years. Wishing you luck and strength in your language learning path and in writing about your people! Regards, Super Ψ Dro 11:46, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Super Dromaeosaurus Hey, so quick question: there are a bunch of editors right now working on Circassian topics, with varying degrees of professionalism and somehow different editing style. They are, also, completely uncoordinated, like I saw someone create a page I wanted to create anyways, etc. I met one of these editors before already, and seeing his efforts (and wanting to expand upon some of his work) is part of what encouraged me to re-start actually, but I don't know the others. I decided that it would be a good idea to collect these people, in a Telegram or Discord group, and coordinate our efforts properly. That way it will be way more efficient, and we can also advise some of the more "amateur" editors. Now I have two questions:
- 1- Is it a problem for me to know one of these editors IRL, since we work on the same topics, is it treated as some sort of sockpuppetry?
- 2- Is it a problem for me to gather these editors together, assuming they agree, and coordinate our efforts from outside of Wikipedia? Is it treated as some sort of sockpuppetry?
- As you can see I'm a bit paranoid about these rules, especially 'sockpuppetry'. Don't want to do anything prohibited but we could be much more efficient. Angel Eyes ● 💬 09:53, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, WP:MEATPUPPET and the two other links at the top of the section are the policies relevant for this case. By itself, getting editors together and coordinating them off-site does not break the rules. But an inevitable situation will come, you'll follow each other's edits more closely and will happen to be in the same disputes more often. Coordinating against an editor outside of this group over a content dispute is a tag team and can get all of you blocked. My advice is not to intervene in the disputes of your partners unless you have something important or relevant to say, not to ping them in preferrably any at all of your disputes (this is WP:canvassing) unless its justified (I don't know, maybe they wrote the article and the opposing user is making references to who wrote a part they disagree with) and to remind the opposing party that they can resort to several dispute resolution mechanisms (such as WP:3O, WP:DRN, there's more) to seek different opinions in case they feel they're being pressed by a coordinated group in a closed discussion. You don't have to avoid your partners in Wikipedia and can participate in the same discussions, but you also don't have to participate in any discussion that they are a part of. Hopefully this helps. - Angell Eyes, by the way, I wonder if an article like this could be written about the Circassians. I imagine it is widely discussed among your people but the multiple language barriers always made it hard for me to look for much information. Super Ψ Dro 13:56, 21 February 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, this is a topic that is often discussed. But I'm not sure if we can find enough sources to make a Wikipedia article. It is a hot topic within the community but not enougn RS, imo. Maybe there are some English language articles that mention it in passing. Angel Eyes ● 💬 16:05, 21 February 2026 (UTC)
- I'd be surprised if there weren't enough taking into account sources in Circassian, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, etc.. Hopefully things will change in the future, and not only in academia. Super Ψ Dro 16:36, 21 February 2026 (UTC)
- Well, what spesifically do you have it in mind? Actual legality of this "right of return" (which is basically nonexistent), or the demands for it? What would the article be titled?
- I heard that back when Russia was first founded after the fall of the USSR, all you had to do was prove you are Circassian and you'd be granted a Russian citizenship. I don't know how true this is but I have heard it from multiple places. This is certainly not the case now, though.
- On a more personal note:
- I know the villages my ancestors came from, some of them were burnt to the ground and/or merged with others, some still exist. Yet only in 1991 did anyone from my family set foot there again... No one will say that anything there belongs to us now, even if we did not give it voluntarily. Whether we should have a right to it or not is another topic. Circassians have their own opinions, though imagine many people over the world nowadays will have an unfavorable view of this due to possible comparisons with a certain country that was founded in a very similar way.
- Also, unlike Palestinians, when we were exiled, the world was less globalised, basically all contact and connection to the Caucasus was lost once we set foot in the diaspora. Arguably this lasted to some extent until 1991. Angel Eyes ● 💬 16:45, 21 February 2026 (UTC)
- I am by all means not knowledgeable on this, only interested, so I don't know, it could be titled something different but deal roughly with the same topic. The title should adapt to the article's contents and not opposite. I was interested to see if writing on this had crossed your mind before.
- It seems like a complicated situation indeed, and what you say is true, I did imagine links to the old homeland to be weaker in comparison. I imagine it's an opinion held by a small, nationalist minority among Circassians. Super Ψ Dro 18:01, 21 February 2026 (UTC)
- There is certainly an emotional link, for most Circassians. But will it manifest to political demands? Only for a few people. Angel Eyes ● 💬 18:20, 21 February 2026 (UTC)

Articles
Hello, do you have any articles/stuff you want to work on but don't have the time for, our editing interests are kind of similar and I wanna keep editing. SpandauSteaua (talk) 16:11, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, hope you're doing well. Yes, there's quite a lot of articles I'd like to see written but don't have the time to. If you may allow it, I'd like to advice you to first try out translating pages (from ro.wiki, presumably), since you're relatively unexperienced, to get the gist of editing better. I think it could help you but you're free to start articles from scratch.
- Here are some examples on history or politics, which seem to interest you as well. I've been focused on Moldova lately; commanders of the Transnistrian War are pretty unattended. I find Leonid Carasiov in particular to be interesting since he is a Russian who decided to fight in the government side. Redlinks in these navboxes (here are present two cases without an article of our borders shifting, 1913 and 1948) are also in need of some attention. I also think we've needed an article on the 2019 Valea Uzului clash for a while. We're also missing articles on the 1919 mutual massacres between Romanians and Hungarians . I think this one is also interesting .
- Most of these have Romanian Wikipedia articles you can translate or at least use as a guide. As a note though that not every article there is notable (such as this , interesting but there's scarce info on it yet). I likely won't be engaging in lengthy content writing but I can help in format, links, copyediting, style, etc., and also tell you if you've done anything that could be improved.
- I'll be looking forward to see great stuff from you. I may give some more examples if more come to my mind. Regards, Super Ψ Dro 17:19, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
