Request reason:

How can you say that I'm not here to build an encyclopedia? The only actual content I've edited was on the Prentis Cobb Hale page. On one of those edits, I capitalized "LL.B." On the other edit, I pointed out that Mr. Hale was admitted to the California Bar in 1936 (and I added a cite to the California Bar website showing this.) Your blocking me makes no sense. Swordfish121,641 (talk) 23:28, 18 November 2024 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You filter log explains it all. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 04:56, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:

You say my "filter log explains it all." How so? I read my filter log, and all it says was that I attempted to edit user talk pages. You've edited other users' talk pages too, @Jpgordon:. So by your own standards, you should be blocked too. This is hypocrisy. In all of those edits I attempted to make, I attempted to ask other users to support my request for adminship. In the first two of those edits I made, here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Addshore&diff=prev&oldid=1258208645 and here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:0xDeadbeef&diff=prev&oldid=1258208651, my edits were published. But after I made the other edits, WP kept claiming my edits were "User talk page disruption." Is there some rule against asking other users to support my request for adminship? If there isn't a rule against this, you've blocked me improperly. If there is a rule against asking other users to support my request for adminship, I apologize and will not do this again. You should give me another chance, particularly since none of my content edits were deemed vandalism. Swordfish121,641 (talk) 12:59, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Decline reason:

As you see no problems here, there are no grounds for me to lift this block. Yamla (talk) 13:16, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:

Can you please explain to me exactly what I did that violated any of WP's policies, and why it violated WP's policies. I did not intentionally do anything wrong, and if anything I did in soliciting support for my adminship request was somehow bad, I promise not to do it again if you unblock me. Swordfish121,641 (talk) 18:17, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Decline reason:

I suggest you spend your time being blocked to read some Wikipedia pages about being an admin to understand that your first edit should not have been to apply for the admin role, and spamming users' talk pages was disruptive. PhilKnight (talk) 19:50, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:

Ok ok ok @PhilKnight: I read WP's rules for admin qualifications. I also read the rules that say spamming talk pages was disruptive. I admit is, I've learned my lesson, I was wrong, and won't do it again. Your statement, "I suggest you spend your time being blocked to read some Wikipedia pages" sounds like that this was only a temporary block, and that you're willing to give me another chance. So will you unblock me now? And @Jake Wartenberg: in answer to your question, I used to edit pages under the username User:Kyleandrew1. I think my last edit was in 2009, so it's been a long time. Swordfish121,641 (talk) 03:25, 20 November 2024 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You have been indefinitely blocked. That means forever, unless you manage to successfully appeal, which could happen as early as today. But to be unblocked, you'll have to convince an administrator that you're here to build an encyclopedia, not to cause problems. Right now, you're not convincing anyone. I suggest reading WP:GAB and doing something else for a little while. Once you've had a break, come back and tell us what kinds of edits you want to make. -- asilvering (talk) 06:31, 20 November 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:

You said I'd be blocked forever unless I "manage to successfully appeal, which could happen as early as today." You said this on November 20. You also suggested that I read WP:GAB and then come back and tell you what kind of edits I want to make. I read WP:GAB and I think I'm ready to make another unblock request. I plan to make edits mainly about legal topics, as I have a law degree. Many of the edits I made as User:Kyleandrew1 were about legal topics. And as you can see, the edits I made under this address (other than my request for adminship) were about legal topics. So will you unblock me now? Swordfish121,641 (talk) 7:58 am, 23 November 2024, Saturday (24 days ago) (UTC−9)

Accept reason:

I think we can take it as understood that there won't be any more attempts to spam talk pages to get support to be an admin, giving a second chance is the only way to actually be sure. El Beeblerino if you're not into the whole brevity thing 20:23, 17 December 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: St Andrews Ukranian school

Hello Swordfish121,641, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of St Andrews Ukranian school, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Educational institutions are exempt from WP:A7. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 02:02, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

Pending changes reviewer granted

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Temporary account IP viewer granted

The temporary account IP viewer logo, composed of the Wikipedia globe with a user and an IP address

Hello, Swordfish121,641. Per your request, your account has been granted temporary-account-viewer rights. You are now able to reveal the IP addresses of individuals using temporary accounts that are not visible to the general public. This is very sensitive information that is only to be used to aid in anti-abuse workflows. Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Temporary account IP viewer for more information on this user right. It is important to remember:

  • You must not share IP address data with someone who does not have the same access permissions unless disclosure is permissible as per guidelines listed at Foundation:Policy:Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy.
  • Access must not be used for political control, to apply pressure on editors, or as a threat against another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to investigate a temporary user. Note that using multiple temporary accounts is not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of policies (for example, block or ban evasion).

It is also important to note that the following actions are logged for others to see:

  • When a user accepts the preference that enables or disables IP reveal for their account.
  • Revealing an IP address of a temporary account.
  • Listing the temporary accounts that are associated with one or more IP addresses (using the CIDR notation format).

Remember, even if a user is violating policy, avoid revealing personal information if possible. Use temporary account usernames rather than disclosing IP addresses directly, or give information such as same network/not same network or similar. If you do not want the user right anymore then please ask me or another administrator and it will be removed for you. You may also voluntarily give up access at any time by visiting Special:Preferences. Happy editing! — rsjaffe 🗣️ 04:16, 28 April 2026 (UTC)

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
