Question from Alexandria Quartermaine (14:51, 27 February 2026)
Hi Maddie. I'm Alexandria Quartermaine and I'm trying to post some information about my uncle (Col Rod Turner) on Wikipedia. Questions: 1) I want to post his official military photo to the page. How do I do that. It is an official government photo available to the general public. 2) I had my post edited yesterday and I was wondering if I can make any additions. Thanks, Alexandria --Alexandria Quartermaine (talk) 14:51, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Alexandria Quartermaine! If it is an official government portrait, it should be uploadable under public domain to WikiMedia Commons (direct link). Just follow that link, hit the upload file button, and you can upload it and link it as a file (see WP:FILES for instructions on including it on your draft). I'm not sure if I understand your second question, but it seems your draft is located at User:Alexandria Quartermaine/sandbox, and you can continue editing/working on it there. You should make sure to add secondary sources that are reliable, are independent of the subject, and have significant coverage of the subject to show that your uncle meets WP:NOTABILITY. You should also declare your connection to the subject (aka a conflict of interest), see WP:COIDECLARE for instructions on how to do that. 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 15:38, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
Question from Harrison0123 (20:02, 28 February 2026)
Hi Maddie! I wanted to know if my article about Bornblum Jewish Community School fit the guidelines (name is draft: Bornblum Jewish Community School). I've had it denied once, so I need to make sure it fits the qualifications. I wrote about it because I found it interesting about how they were the first school in the US to use anti-Covid-19 HVAC filters. I also wanted to know if my eit to "Timeline of Iran's History" (I added the recent event) had enough information and sources. --Harrison0123 (talk) 20:02, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Harrison0123! For your draft, you're going to want to find secondary sources that are reliable, are independent of the subject, and have significant coverage of the subject. This will show that your draft meets WP:NOTABILITY, which is the main barrier to acceptance. Regarding your edit to Timeline of Iranian history, it generally looks good! You did the right thing by providing citations to reliable sources. The one small thing I would note is that on Wikipedia we generally try to avoid wording that editorializes, such as
on the contrary
— you can see MOS:EDITORIAL for more information on this. 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 16:11, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
Question from Harrison0123 (19:30, 1 March 2026)
Hi Maddie! I've been working on my article, but it keeps getting denied. but this last time I found a source that fits all four criteria, and it was denied for the same reason. Can you tell me the specifics on why it keeps getting denied? It would help a lot! --Harrison0123 (talk) 19:30, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Harrison0123 — in general you're going to want multiple sources that meet all four criteria. Two is considered the bare minimum, but ideally you'd like three or four. Keep digging for sources and hopefully you can find something! A source just needs to be reliably published, so it may be worth looking for mentions in books or scholarly papers (Google Books and Google Scholar can be good ways to search for these). 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 22:43, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
Question from Serdinya (17:16, 2 March 2026)

- Hi @Serdinya — I'm not sure I can diagnose the problem based on what you're describing. I would start a thread at the WP:TEAHOUSE, there might be some people there more familiar with beginner modules who could help diagnose what's going on. 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 00:23, 3 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from Loveydoveyg-d on Draft:Chancellor Pharaoh Rogers. (17:58, 4 March 2026)
How do I add pictures. --Loveydoveyg-d (talk) 17:58, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Loveydoveyg-d! There are a few ways you can add pictures, the method depends on the rights to the picture and how it will be used. Can you give me more specifics about the picture you want to upload? 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 18:16, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
Question from The Southern American (03:28, 5 March 2026)
What resources can I get on how to start editing? I want to edit an article that is a politically motivated, opinionated, and completely false. Actually within the article the writer of it uses pieces of evidence to write a false opinionated narrative. The writer does this so well that if I knew nothing of the organization they were ignorantly lying about I would believe it. I want to edit the article and tell the truth and not create an opinionated false narrative. Because of articles like the one I am mentioning I understand why the majority of American English classes do not allow the use of Wikipedia as a source. Please help. --The Southern American (talk) 03:28, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @The Southern American — could you be more specific on the article you want to edit? A good resource for getting started is Help:Getting started. Given the nature of your question, you might also be interested in WP:NPOV and WP:RS. 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 03:54, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
Question from Siza moudy on Murusade (08:14, 14 March 2026)
How do uploud picture --Siza moudy (talk) 08:14, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Siza moudy — Could you give me info on the picture you want to upload and what the rights to it are? Wikipedia can only use images that are copyright free or fair use, and how the picture is uploaded depends on which of those it is. 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 18:45, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
Question from Maëlyshouin (13:42, 16 March 2026)
Hello Maddie,
I've been trying to upload an image of a celebrity who doesn't have one on wikimedia, and I've been wondering if Getty images or Alamy images could be used?
Thanks! --Maëlyshouin (talk) 13:42, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Maëlyshouin — No, those images can not typically be used. For living people, we can only use images that are copyright free — see WP:Image use policy for more information. If you want to give me more information on the person you're trying to find an image for, I can try to give you some direction on finding a free image for them. 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 13:54, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi,
- thank you for your quick answer! I'm trying to look for Isaac Ordonez (the actor) pictures, since he has none on Wikimedia, but it seems to me like there are none that are copyright free.
- Thanks for your time. Maëlyshouin (talk) 08:33, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
Question from Theo Minor (12:03, 17 March 2026)
- Note: Theo Minor's mentor Veko is away.
Hi i am attempting to document a well known regional artist Gary North
He is at emerging artist level having won an English county level award. Lancashire artist of the year 2025=26
This is documented online and covered in Wigan, Blackpool and other northern newspapers as well as lancashire cc website. With a photo
He has. Also appeared in 2 published books in 2025
Liverpool urban sketcher, Liverpool uran sketchers Spiral of honesty, phil Barnett
Both on sale in teputable book stores
He is a finalist in the current Wigan arts festival open and. sefton open
He is known as “Northern resident artist” online where he started and has. Done art for the lightening seeds, Beautiful south, space and cerys matthew”
I am aware that my first attempt to celebrate Gary North did not fit wikipedia and thats clearly my ability.
As an experienced mentor do you think that you could create a page where i have struggled or would he need to be at a national tv standard to qualify --Theo Minor (talk) 12:03, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Theo Minor! To qualify for an article, the subject needs to show that it meets our criteria for notability. In general, this means providing secondary sources that are reliable, are independent of the subject, and have significant coverage of the subject. There is also a specific criteria for artists, if you can show he meets that criteria: WP:NARTIST. I would suggest working on your article, which is at Draft:Gary North (artist) to provide these sources (see Help:Citing sources for a guide on proper citation), and then resubmitting. Let me know if you have any questions! 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 16:51, 17 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from YosiYahoudai on Straight pride (22:31, 17 March 2026)
Under Background and Reaction on this page, the content focuses more on the LGBTQ communities and how they were impacted by social movements and an epidemic. One would expect this section to be more focused on the topic of the page itself, "Straight Pride." I believe this whole section needs to be reworked. It doesn't give background, context, or reaction to the Straight Pride movement at all. --YosiYahoudai (talk) 22:31, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
- @YosiYahoudai — You should take this discussion to the talk page (Talk:Straight pride). I agree this page could use some work; I would assume it's like that in part because straight pride existed purely in response to gay pride, but the page could do a better job explaining that context. 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 22:46, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
Question from TuGinVan (08:12, 18 March 2026)
- Note: TuGinVan's mentor GGOTCC is away.
Hi GGOTCC, how does one approach editting an article related to their culturally background? I see there are alot of false and politically driven narratives in such articles. --TuGinVan (talk) 08:12, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @TuGinVan!
- GGOTCC is away but I'm happy to help answer your questions. The main thing to keep in mind when editing a subject like that is to remember to try to maintain a neutral point of view and to always back up your claims with reliable sources. It can be easy to caught up adding or correcting things based on your personal experience, but Wikipedia is concerned about verifiability over truth. If you want to give me more details on what cultural background and politically driven narratives you're concerned about, I would be happy to give you more specific advice! 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 13:07, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
