Disambiguation link notification for June 23
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Abdul Hamid Khan (general), a link pointing to the disambiguation page I Corps was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 18:06, 23 June 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Leslie Mungavin when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.
Thank you. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 21:50, 26 June 2026 (UTC)

No need for a signature after WikiProject banners
Hi, Although it is good practice on talk pages to sign your posts, I don't think that means you need to add a signature after adding WikiProject banners and other banners to the talk page header, as you did on Talk:July 2026 Balochistan attacks. Since you are not actually posting a comment that needs responding to, the signature is unnecessary. The editor who added items to the talk page header is usually obvious from the page history. Posts normally go under a heading to explain what the post is about. In this instance I have moved your signature to a new section titled "Signature". Did you intent to post anything after adding the talk page banners but forgot to do so when you signed the talk page, or was this signature just a misunderstanding of the guidelines? - Cameron Dewe (talk) 02:10, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
- Cheers for spotting that. I have an automatic signature on my end and forgot about it. LesIie (talk) 02:15, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
- Perhaps you should preview your edits; I often find previewing helps me catch mistakes. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 02:18, 10 July 2026 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate with others, avoid editing disruptively, and try to reach a consensus – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.
Important points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive behavior – regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.
You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution if discussions reach an impasse. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to engage in edit warring, you may be blocked from editing. Accesscrawl (talk) 03:45, 12 July 2026 (UTC)

Opening a case at ANI?
I have observed what SheriffIsInTown has been doing and I see clear signs of WP:OWNERSHIP at Imran Khan and Asim Munir but I am not familiar with the ANI process. Since you might have also observed this behavior, please let me know whether or not you think that it would be appropriate to open a case at ANI or not. If you decide that it is appropriate, I will be happy to assist you in gathering any other information that you might need. Thanks! If you're also unfamiliar with the process, I'll leave a message on Burrobert's talk page, who might be more familiar with it. WikiEnthusiast1001 (talk) 01:58, 23 July 2026 (UTC)
- Perhaps. I was initially concerned with some behaviours (i.e. their blatant pro-Pakistani state stance.) but after their retaliatory SPI, in which I am 100% certain they knew there was no sockpuppetry actually being committed (WP:GAME), I would be very willing to help at ANI or any other appropriate venue. I am not too familiar with the ANI process itself when it comes to filing, but I know a few things: You will need to come up with a suggestion of what sanction you would like enforced on the editor e.g. specific topic ban, block, etc... You will also need to provide substantial evidence (Which I will be happy to assist you on.) Anyone will be able to make their own statements on the case. Hello, I'm AirshipJungleman29. A comment that you recently posted to Talk:S. M. Ahsan/GA1 seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Editors should not use LLMs to write comments generatively. Communication is at the root of Wikipedia's decision-making process, and it is presumed that editors possess the ability to come up with their own ideas. Your comment may have been collapsed per the relevant guideline. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 20:45, 2 August 2026 (UTC)
General Akbar Khan
Hey,
I edited his page a few days back to correct mistakes pertaining to his tribe. I noticed that instead of 'Parech Khel' (this is the way I wrote it) you went with 'Pareech Khel', adding the extra 'e'. I was wondering whether that's the way the tribe is officially spelt because I've seen a lot of variations; people tend to spell it differently (Parech, Pareech, or even Parich). UnfazedRebel (talk) 13:05, 12 August 2026 (UTC)
- You're right that there are some variations. I chose Pareech because it is the most common spelling seen in sources and it is also the spelling used in the source that is cited for Akbar Khan's ethnicity (, ) . Per WP:VERIFY and WP:COMMONNAME, "Pareech" is best used here and we generally go with the version most frequently seen in English sources. White Rivers (talk) 13:55, 12 August 2026 (UTC)
- @UnfazedRebel Basically, go for the version used in the source attributed to it, unless there is an actual commonly known spelling for it, then you should use that. White Rivers (talk) 14:00, 12 August 2026 (UTC)
- Alright, that makes sense. Now that you mention it, it is spelt that way in all of recent English literature. Do you reckon we keep references 9 and 10 for that specific sentence then? They're both very old sources; In [9] they've written it as 'Puresh' while in [10] its 'Parcha'. I didn't remove them because I thought regardless of however the subtribe was spelt in there, they were very useful sources (and most probably the only sources available) in proving the subtribe belongs to the Muhammadzai tribe. UnfazedRebel (talk) 14:49, 12 August 2026 (UTC)
- @UnfazedRebel We can and should retain them per WP:AGE and WP:HISTORICAL. Since they are very old sources, they naturally tend to be more prone to variations in spelling, which is not an issue. Moreover, [9] was translated by a foreigner (which likely explains the alternate spelling), and [10] is a British Indian Gazette from as far back as the 1800s, where slight variations or errors in tribal spellings were common. They remain highly valuable for proving the lineage. White Rivers (talk) 15:25, 12 August 2026 (UTC)

If you are interested in running, please sign up here by 23:59 UTC on 14 September! Voting will commence on 15 September. If you have any questions, you can contact any member of the current coord team. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 1 September 2026 (UTC)
