Information icon Hello, I'm Youshouldchooseausernamethat. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to the page Jerome Laxale because you appear to have made an unexplained change to information inside an infobox, which doesn't reflect or contradicts facts contained within the article's body. The infobox is meant to summarize the key facts already present in the article itself. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source when making the change or discuss your change on the article's talk page. You can also find the information in the main written body of the article and change it there; make sure you cite the source there too. Have a look at the tutorial on citing sources if you need help with this. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox instead, and if you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please take careful note of the following points to avoid being blocked from editing:

  • You undid a revision by Cluebot NG but did not report an error. This gives the appearance that you are engaging in WP:EDITWAR with an automated anti-vandalism system to force a preferred outcome. A review of your contributions shows frequent restoration of reverted edits, particularly regarding the designation of independent politicians as “teal independents.” This pattern is concerning and can result in an edit-warring block. To prevent this, you must seek consensus on the article’s talk page before reinstating contested material.
  • You added honourific prefixes (The Honourable) to several officeholders who have not earned them. Such changes are considered WP:SNEAKY and can be interpreted as subtle vandalism. To avoid sanctions, always support additions of this nature with a reliable source.
  • The alma mater field in an officeholder’s infobox must contain only the alma mater (The linked name of attended higher education institution(s).). Adding unrelated information is considered disruptive editing. Please ensure this field is used correctly in future.

Please understand that while your three consecutive edits were not entirely disruptive, they did include disruptive elements. For that reason, they have been reverted in full. You may review them in the article’s revision history and restore any portions that are appropriate and properly sourced. Thank you. Youshouldchooseausernamethat (talk) 12:23, 29 November 2025 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to living or recently deceased subjects of biographical content on Wikipedia articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Add 'teal independent' affiliation to 'Other political affiliations'? Wikiuser4999 (talk) 23:46, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
Not everything needs to be jamed into the infobox, especially when the labels don't really fit that well. It should be sufficient to go into detail about them labeled "teal independents" in the body (where it hasn't been done so already). If you want more input about it from other editors you can start discussions in the articles' talk pages. TarnishedPathtalk 00:07, 28 November 2025 (UTC)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Vincent Tarzia when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Warning

icon Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing.
Good evening. You recently repurposed an edit summary of mine. I was warning you against continuing your attempts to implement change without consensus, regarding the opening sentence of the Liberal Party article. You recycled my words of cautioning in favour of your repeated edits.

You are changing the longstanding norm, against what existed at the time the note to contributors was inserted. It may have been myself that inserted it, which I wish to acknowledge in case it was so. Do not continue in this manner. Raise the matter on the talk page, and if your contribution is prudent and you make its case well, then other editors will accept it. Will Thorpe (talk) 10:50, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
